Cinco Ranch Cougars (3-1) vs The Clear falls Knights (4-0) two undefeated teams this season battling it out to stay undefeated. It was a close game before the half, but The Clear Falls Knights overcame the Cougars with a score of 37-21. Two of the best teams in Texas #4 Atascocita Eagles (3-1) vs #5 Denton Guyer (4-0) but Guyer pulled ahead with a score of 46-35. Another one of the best teams in Houston and Texas Katy Tigers (4-0) vs Woodlands Highlanders (2-2) both team were very even, but Katy Tigers won with a score of 21-14. Fort Bend Clements (4-0) Ranger and Fort Bend Dulles Vikings (2-2) also had a spectacular game going down to the wire with a score of 19-13. The Summer Creek Bulldogs (4-0) had a phenomenal showing against The Westside Wolves (1-3) with a gigantic score of 74-3. I’ll be discussing every player that stood out the most in each of these games of the week.
Cinco Ranch Cougars #3 Seth Salverino WR Jr 6’1 185 lbs
Although, Cinco Ranch Cougars lost they still had an outstanding wide receiver in #3 Seth Salverino. Seth is fast off the ball the starting run for a wide receiver is everything. When I 1st saw him launch off I knew Seth was a wide receiver to keep an eye on. Seth knew how to break tackles, stiff arm, and contest passes. Seth had a 61 yard touchdown that he had to fight gruesomely to the end zone for. Seth ended the night with six receptions, 165 yards, and two touchdowns.
Atascocita Eagles #7 Gavin Session QB Sr 6’0 190 lbs
Atascocita Eagles suffered their 1st lose against Guyer Denton on Friday September 17th, but their quarterback #7 Gavin Session still had a standout performance. Gavin could do it all throw, run and scramble he was on fire Friday night. I love watching a versatile quarterback like Gavin. If Gavin didn’t see an open pass he get the yards himself. Gavin ran the ball himself for at least 50 yards and rushed the ball in for a 5 yard touchdown. Gavin also throw for a big 72 yard pass touchdown. Gavin is a college prospect having tons of offers from ETBU, Howard Payne University, Louisiana College and South Nazarene University.
Katy Tigers #23 Seth Davis Seth Davis 5'7" | 165 lbs | RB Katy | 2023 State TX RB Jr 5’8 170 lbs
Katy has a strong offense very run heavy built around #23 Seth Davis Seth Davis 5'7" | 165 lbs | RB Katy | 2023 State TX . Seth is a running back and a very fast one at that. If Seth got the proper protection and an open path there was no catching him. Seth had a big 49 yard run that put them next to the end zone and another 49 yard run touchdown. Although, Seth isn’t a particularly big running back he had to use his speed and foot work to get yards because Seth couldn’t break tackles physically. Seth is a college prospect having offers to University of Houston, Navy Football, Yale University and Air Force Football. Seth ended the night by rushing in two touchdowns.
Fort Bend Clements Rangers #2 Micah Darnell QB Sr 5’10 160 lbs
Fort Bend Clements Ranger quarterback #2 Micah Darnell had a great night against Fort Bend Dulles Vikings. Micah had a lot of reliable wide receivers to throw to. Micah has a canon for an arm not only could he throw far, but his precision was dead on as well. Micah threw for 161 passing yards and threw in two touchdowns passes.
Summer Creek Bulldogs #78 Kelvin Banks Kelvin Banks 6'5" | 285 lbs | OL Humble Summer Creek | 2022 State TX OT Sr 6’5 300 lbs
Summer Creek Bulldogs Kelvin Banks Kelvin Banks 6'5" | 285 lbs | OL Humble Summer Creek | 2022 State TX is a BIG MAN. Watching Kelvin as a offensive tackle was a spectacle. Not only is Kelvin just a big man he also has power, quickness and amazing footwork as well. None of Westside Wolves defensive linemen could get pass Kelvin as he stood as an impenetrable wall. Kelvin Banks Kelvin Banks 6'5" | 285 lbs | OL Humble Summer Creek | 2022 State TX is a college prospect having tons of offers from big names schools like; UT Austin, LSU, U of H, Texas A&M, Ole Miss University, and many others. Although, with all of those offers Kelvin decided to commit to University of Oregon for this upcoming Fall.
