Kaeden Miller – Leo – WR/CB – 5’7″ 150 lbs
On the very first drive of the game, Miller was able to silence the crowd as they were roaring. Miller busted through the A-gap and outraced everyone to the endzone. It was able to quiet the crowd and give Leo some much-needed breathing room. Miller was moving the ball all night and picking up big chunks. He isn’t in the backfield often, but when he is, watch out because he can take it to the house. He finished the evening with 159-yards and 1 TD.
Jackson Barbour – Leo – QB – 5’9″ 180 lbs
Jackson was very efficient on Friday. He and the offense were in sync all night and never let up. Barbour was able to make most throws and had plenty of time to sit back and read the coverages. He struggled when they rolled out a 2-High Safety look but he adjusted quickly. He was also dynamic with his legs and proved to be a huge threat on the ground. It was a great performance by Barbour and he’s becoming more and more comfortable as the weeks go by.
Mason Sheron – Leo – RB – 5’10″ 185 lbs
Sheron was the lead back for Leo and man, did he have himself a game. Sheron was breaking tackles and making guys miss on every carry. He never lets his energy level dip and always plays like his hair is on fire. Sheron was in the endzone twice on Friday. The first score was just a short read-option on the goalline. His second touchdown was the best play of the night for him. He raced down the right sideline and outraced everyone for a score late in the game to take the lead. Leo would eventually hold them off. Sheron finished the night with 111-yards and 2 TDs.
Kainon Carico – East Noble – RB – 6’3″ 220 lbs
It was my first time getting out to check out Carico and he did not disappoint. He shows up in almost every weekly review because he earns it. Friday was no different. The Derrick Henry-like RB ran all over Leo on Friday. He was in the endzone a few times and broke some big runs. He’s such an explosive athlete and with his size, he seemingly always has the advantage. That offense lives and dies by him and Friday he did his job, again, at a high level.
Nick Munson Nick Munson 5'10" | 190 lbs | WR East Noble | 2022 IN – East Noble – WR – 5’10″ 185 lbs
Munson was operating primarily out of the slot and proved to be very effective. He’s able to read coverage post-snap as it’s rolling which gives him the advantage. He knows when to break off a route and when to keep pressing it. Munson is great with the ball in his hands and the first defender never brings him down. At least on Friday, Munson always went for the stiff-arm to get a defender off of him.
