Camden Farrell Camden Farrell 6'0" | 165 lbs | WR Fruitport | 2022 MI – Fruitport – WR/LB – 6’0″ 165 lbs
Farrell plays both ways for Fruitport but his biggest impact was on offense where he was torching the defense all night long. Farrell had over 10 receptions and finished with just over 150 receiving yards. He found the endzone a total of 3 times as well. He was always open and sitting in the correct zones. He has soft hands and is best when he has the chance to make a defender miss in open space.
Meshaune Crowley – Muskegon – RB – 5’11″ 170 lbs
On Friday everything Muskegon did on offense worked, and because of that, Crowley benefited and feasted. Muskegon was all over Union early and it got ugly. Crowley was gashing the defense for huge chunks at a time. He had 3 touchdowns in the first half. He was making players miss, running them over, and was showing the ability to pass-block. Crowley looked fantastic and like the real deal. This isn’t the first time he’s had an explosion like this and it probably won’t be the last either.
Joesph Waller – Muskegon Catholic Central – RB/DE – 5’11″ 185 lbs
Waller was fantastic for Catholic Central on both sides of the ball on Friday. He had a few impact tackles on defense but most of his damage was done with the ball in his hands. The game plan was fairly simple. Get the ball in his hands and see if he can make things happen. Well, he did on just about every carry. He rushed for 134-yards on 13 yards per carry. He found the endzone twice on just his 10 carries. He would’ve had more carries, but the offense wasn’t on the field very long on any drive. They scored in a hurry on almost every drive on their way to a 37-0 win.
Grant Harkness – Newaygo – QB – 5’10″ 160 lbs
Efficient and effective are the first two words that come to mind when speaking on Harkness’s Friday performance. He only had 5 balls incompleted. He had 4 passing touchdowns and almost had more touchdowns than incompletions but had one ball called incomplete in the back of the endzone that sure looked like another score to the naked eye. Nonetheless, he looked fantastic and made every throw. He led Newaygo to a 45 point offensive victory.
Justin Dirheimer – Fremont – RB – 5’10″ 170 lbs
Fremont got beat down pretty bad but Dirheimer was a bright spot. He was the focal point for the offense and the defense knew that but couldn’t slow him down. He rushed for 173-yards and 3 touchdowns but it wasn’t enough. He showed the ability to catch passes out of the backfield and that he has very soft hands. We knew he was great in between the tackles but to see him involved in the passing game is great for his development.
