Legend Robinson – Hoisington, RB, Class of ’22
After stumbling out of the gates in Week 1, Hoisington managed to rebound in a 27-13 win over Larned. The Cardinals’ game plan was simple, feed Robinson the rock. He was a busy man, as he carried the ball 30 times and rushed for 209 yards with two scores, averaging an impressive 7 yards per attempt.
Jesse Greenly Jesse Greenly 5'11" | 220 lbs | RB Atchison | 2023 State KS – Atchison, RB, Class of ’23
There was some chatter this offseason about Greenly being a junior primed for a breakout year. Well, he had his breakout game in Week 2 against Highland Park. Greenly played phenomenal, rushing for 254 yards on 18 carries, which comes out to a whopping 14 yards per rush. He also found the end zone six times during the contest.
Jet Dineen Jet Dineen 5'11" | 180 lbs | ATH Free State | 2022 State KS – Free State, QB, Class of ‘22
What a turnaround it’s been for the Firebirds’ program so far during 2021. They’ve started off this young season 2-0, scoring 49 points in each game. Dineen has been the focal point of the offense, as he once again accounted for five total touchdowns in their win against Shawnee Mission South. His dynamic play has the Firebirds as one of the top offenses in 6A.
Max Middleton Max Middleton 5'11" | 180 lbs | RB Andover | 2022 State KS – Andover, RB, Class of ‘22
Middleton appeared in our Class of ’22 Sleepers piece for a reason. He’s taken over the lead back role with ease, rushing for over 100 yards in back-to-back games. In Week 2, Middleton had 26 attempts for 221 yards and two scores against Ark City. He’ll look to keep the momentum going against Salina Central in Week 3.
Keyan Miller Keyan Miller 5'7" | 195 lbs | RB Concordia | 2022 State KS – Concordia, RB, Class of ‘22
Miller is another tailback that has elevated his game as he’s taken on the role of being the feature back in Concordia’s offense. He ended Week 2 with another game of more than 200 yards from scrimmage and had three total touchdowns. The wild thing about his stat line, was that he did all his damage in less than a half.
Tre Richardson Tre Richardson 5'10" | 165 lbs | ATH Highland Park | 2023 State KS – Highland Park, ATH, Class of ’23
Richardson has come on strong through these first two weeks of his junior campaign. He’s made nothing but big plays so far this season, and his Week 2 performance against Atchison was outstanding. The versatile athlete piled up 284 total yards on offense and scored five total touchdowns.
Jason Bosley & Grant Amon – Jackson Heights, Class of ‘22
Just like in Week 1, it wouldn’t have been right to highlight just one of these prospects. They both were unbelievable in the Cobras’ 48-7 win over Horton. Bosley only threw the ball 11 times, but six of his completions were touchdowns and he threw for 291 yards. Amon was the recipient of four of those throws, all of which went for touchdowns, and he ended the night with 201 yards receiving.
Hudson Ferralez Hudson Ferralez 6'1" | 205 lbs | QB Wichita Collegiate | 2024 State KS – Hesston, QB, Class of ‘24
Ferralez is currently the 8th ranked prospect in the Class of ’24, but he’s making a strong case to move up inside the Top 5 in the next update. He’s been arguably the best sophomore quarterback in the state this season and Week 2 showed that. Ferralez went 33/51 for 354 yards and one touchdown pass. Those are impressive numbers for a sophomore at the varsity level.
