Rudy Gonzales Rudy Gonzales 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Deer Valley | 2023 State AZ , QB, Deer Valley ’23
Gonzales threw for 378 yards and 7 TD’s on a 47-35 win over Seton Catholic. It’s safe to say Gonzales flashed his arm talent Friday night, as he displayed solid arm strength to stretch the field, velocity, and placement on numerous throws. Good all-around athlete behind center for Deer Valley, as it will be interesting to see how Gonzales progresses.
Chris Arviso Chris Arviso 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Mountain Pointe | 2023 State AZ , QB, Mountain Pointe ’23
Arviso proved to everyone that Mountain Pointe is legit in 2021, as he threw for 318 yards and 2 TD’s, which included a game winning TD pass with a minute left to beat Brophy 26-23. He delivered throws with excellent placement and touch and showed the ability to throw off-platform. Great job eluding pressure and extending plays when he needed to, to find receivers downfield. Everyone should be taking note of Arviso as we move forward.
Brendan Anderson Brendan Anderson 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB Mountain Ridge | 2023 State AZ , QB, Mountain Ridge ’23
The junior QB threw for 218 yards and 6 TD’s, and added another TD on the ground to smack Fairfax 75-22. He did an excellent job taking care of the football, not turning the ball over on 32 passing attempts. He displayed a good demeanor and mechanics in the pocket and delivered with a smooth release. He threw well off play action and displayed excellent velocity on numerous throws. Live arm as he showed the ability to hit throws in tight windows, or stretch the field vertically.
Zach Wallace Zach Wallace 5'10" | 185 lbs | RB Liberty | 2023 AZ , RB, Liberty ’23
On only 8 carries, Wallace rushed for 145 yards and 5 TD’s on a 42-6 blowout over Boulder Creek. He possesses excellent vision to identify opening lanes or bounce runs outside, and shows a nice burst upfield with excellent balance to bounce off or break initial contact. Flashed good speed in space as well as Wallace looks to be developing into a strong threat at RB.
Daniel Dippre Daniel Dippre 5'10" | 155 lbs | WR San Tan Charter | 2024 State AZ , WR, San Tan Charter ’24
Dippre had a huge game on the loss to blue Ridge, as he racked up a big 17 receptions for 154 yards and 2 TD’s, establishing himself as a clear target for QB Zayden Neill Zayden Neill 6'1" | 165 lbs | QB San Tan Charter | 2024 State AZ . A clear mismatch all night with a natural ability to generate separation. On of his TD’s came on a corner from the slot where he tracked the ball well over his shoulder and showed good field awareness to stay in bounds in the endzone for six. Definitely a name to remember in 2A.
Adryan Lara Adryan Lara 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB Desert Edge | 2022 State AZ , QB, Desert Edge ’22
Nothing new from Lara, as he had a 4 TD night to help blowout Westview 58-0. The Washington State commit threw for 132 yards and 3 TD’s on only 10 attempts and added another on the ground on a 48 yard read option. Superb arm talent as he had a 45 yard jump throw down to the Westview 5 yard line. He’s cool and collected in the pocket and delivered with an effortless release with good timing all night. Lara continues to impress each week and is a very intriguing player to watch.
Hunter Heeringa, QB, Valley Christian ’23
Heeringa was almost perfect on Friday night, completing 8/9 passes for 210 yards and 4 TD’s in a blowout over Gilbert Christian. He was calm and collected in the pocket and delivered throws with excellent placement. He did a great job with his reads and progression as he processed the game quickly on Friday night. Impressive night for Heeringa as he has started to make more of a name for himself in 3A ball.
