Continue ReadingWe are back with our second installment of the new PrepRedzone weekly series highlighting some of the Midwest’s best individual gridiron performances from the past week, and I am pumped to have another round of impressive stat lines and game production from athletes in the Heartland of America. I switched things up a little bit this week and instead of breaking things down by position I have categorized the performances by state and have eight different states for you awesome readers to check out, so please enjoy and congratulations to all of the athletes selected for this week’s team! No greater sport in the world than football.
Dakotas
Lincoln Kienholz (Riggs, SD) QB. 2023. 6′, 150 lbs. Against Mitchell the junior went 15-25 for 262 yards and 4 TDs.
Max Thomson (Washington, SD) QB. 2022. 6’2, 205 lbs. Against Rapid City Central the Northern State quarterback commit completed 17-18 passes for 255 yards and 3 TDs.
Trevin Vasquez (Little Wound, SD) 2022. 5’11, 175 lbs. In a 40-30 win against Crow Creek the senior rushed 16 times for 302 yards and 3 TDs and recorded a 95-yard TD run.
Zander Bowman (Cheyenne-Eagle Butte, SD) 2023. 5’6, 130 lbs. The junior went off against McLaughlin as he caught 8 passes for 239 yards and 3 TDs and broke up 4 passes on defense.
Cedar Amiotte (Wall, SD) 2023. 6′, 175 lbs. In a 61-18 beatdown of Kadoka Mr. Amiotte tallied 9 tackles, .5 TFLs, .5 sacks, and 2 interceptions for a balanced defensive performance.
Cooper Schiernbeck (Deuel, SD) 2022. Against Mobridge-Pollock he put up 5 tackles and 3 interceptions
Reece Berberich (Thompson, ND) 2023. RB. Against Northern Cass he totaled 19 carries for 218 yards and a TD.
D. Leftbear (Four Winds, ND) 2024. WR/DB. In a 26-14 loss to Towner-Granville-Upham the sophomore posted 8 catches for 155 yards and recorded 5 tackles on defense.
Brady Schock (Towner-Granville-Upham) 2022. RB/LB. Finished with a pretty balanced game of 10 carries for 144 yards and 2 TDs plus 12 tackles and a TFL on defense.
Sayge Yellow Eagle (Todd County, SD) 2023. Put up a monster stat line versus Standing Rock as he recorded 4 rushes for 135 yards and 1 TD plus 3 catches for 82 yards and 2 TDs.
Cedar Amiotte (Wall, SD) RB. 2023. 6′, 175 lbs. Tallied 14 carries for 181 yards and 2 TDs against Kadoka
Illinois
Ayden Tiburzi (Carlinville) 2022. QB. In a tough 49-41 loss to Vandalia the senior gunslinger went 18-37 for 295 yards and 4 TDs.
Denim Cook (St. Teresa) 2022. RB/LB. 5’9, 220 lbs. The senior had a big day against Althoff Catholic as he tallied 11 carries for 278 yards and 3 TDs.
Haden Stark (Pana) 2023. WR. In a win against Hillsboro the junior caught 3 balls for 152 yards and 2 TDs.
Marco Jimenez (Round Lake) 2022. RB/LB. 5’10, 200 lbs. Posted 22 total tackles (15 solo, 7 assisted) and 2 TFLs against Maine East.
Nick Golden (Mahomet-Seymour) 2023. LB. Had a monster performance in a win against Effingham as he posted 11 tackles, 8 TFLs, and 5 sacks.
Kaden Newman (St. Bede) 2025. CB. Had 4 interceptions (!) against Sherrard.
Joey Pope (Glenbard West) 2023. RB/DB. 6′, 165 lbs. Battling against Downers Grove South he scored 3 TDs and 185 rushing yards. Hudl: highlights
Jake Stearney (Loyola Academy) 2023. QB. 6’2, 185 lbs. In three quarters of competition against Rochester High School he recorded a 74% completion percentage with 280 passing yards and 4 passing TDs. Hudl: vs. Rochester
Omari Rhinehart (Mundelein) 2022. DB/ATH. 6′, 175 lbs. Put up a balanced individual performance in Week 2 of Illinois football as he totaled 88 rushing yards for 2 TDs, a 52-yard kickoff return TD, 10 tackles, an interception, and a PBU. Hudl:

Alan Karrfalt (Covington) 2022. QB/DB. 6′, 170 lbs. Had a massive performance in a 60-40 win against North Vermillion as he went 33-54 for 458 yards and 5 TDs.
Carson Clark (Bishop Luers) 2022. QB. 6’2, 180 lbs. Went 23-33 for 354 yards and 3 TDs in a big 45-42 win against Homestead.
Carsen Melvin (Plainfield) 2025. QB. 6’3 ,185 lbs. The stud freshman had a big game against Mooresville and went 24-35 for 390 yards and 3 TDs.
Noah Mungia (New Prairie) 2023. RB. 5’9, 195 lbs. Playing against Lowell he had 26 carries for 236 yards and 1 TD.
Alex Deming (Rochester) 2024. RB/LB. Had 18 carries for 245 yards and 3 TDs in a 35-6 win against Whitko.
Cael Vanderbush (Plainfield) 2022. WR. The 6’6, 200 lber. put up 4 catches for 175 yards and 2 TDs in a 63-42 loss to Mooresville.
Ethan Fultz (Brownstown Central) 2023. 5’11, 185 lbs. In a 49-35 loss to Madison he tallied 32 total tackles (19 solo, 22 assist), and 4 TFLs.
Damarion Campbell (Bowman Academy) 2023. LB/RB. 6′, 210 lbs. The junior posted 12 carries for 44 yards, 2 catches for 31 yards, 19 tackles (15 solo, 4 assist), and 3 sacks in a 21-14 loss to East Chicago Central.
Logan Poppy (Martinsville) 2024. WR/CB. Posted 8 tackles and 2 interceptions in a 38-21 win against Greenwood.
Mason Sheron (Leo) 2022. RB/OLB. 6′, 205 lbs. Recorded 8 carries for 81 yards and 2 TDs and added 4 tackles, 2 sacks, and a TFL. Hudl: Week 3

Jeron Senters (Cedar Rapids-Kennedy) WR. 2022. Against Bettendorf the senior posted 6 receptions for 141 yards and 3 TDs.
Will Orness (Humboldt) 2023. WR. 6′, 170 lbs. The junior had a big day against Garner-Hayfield-Ventura as he tallied 7 catches for 190 yards and 3 scores.
Cole Filloon (Southeast Polk) 2022. WR. 6’2, 205 lbs. The big-bodied wideout helped the Rams defeat Valley with a 5 reception, 165 yard, 2 TD game.
Bryant Williams (Burlington) 2022. RB. On just 19 carries posted 208 yards and 4 scores.
Mason Applegate (Iowa City West) 2022. RB. Versus Muscatine the senior tallied 11 carries for 220 yards and 4 TDs.
Sawyer Wardlow (Centerville) 2022. QB. 6’2, 200 lbs. Against Albia the senior went 14-22 for 229 yards and 3 TDs through the air to go along with 139 rushing yards and 2 TDs. Hudl:

Drew Benson (Sioux City West) 2022. RB. 5’10, 185 lbs. Posted 20 carries for 168 yards and a TD, 7 catches for 124 yards and a TD, a kickoff return for 85 yards and a TD.
Caden Matson (Humboldt) 2022. QB/DB. 6′, 185 lbs. In his Week 2 matchup against Garner-Hayfield/Ventura the 2021 stat monster went 12-23 for 296 yards and 4 TDs + 17 carries for 149 yards. Hudl: highlights

Carter Brian (Cair Paravel) 2022. QB/DB. 6′, 165 lbs. In a 60-14 win against Kansas City East Christian Academy the senior went 15-16 passing for 298 yards and 5 TDs.
Dylan Bice (Thunder Ridge) 2023. QB/RB. The junior went 9-9 for 256 yards and a TD in a big 70-12 win against Stockton.
Erhik Hermosillo (Wichita County) 2023. QB/RB. Had a crazy stat line in a 56-6 win against Hoxie as he went 11-14 passing for 164 yards and 2 TDs and added 26 rushes for 238 yards and 4 TDs.
Geremiah Moore (Wichita Northwest) 2022. 5’10, 180 lbs. ATH. In a tough 37-27 loss to Bishop Carroll the senior completed 12-20 passing for 141 yards and added 22 rushes for 218 yards and 4 TDs.
Micah Blair (Christ Prep Academy) 2022. 6’2, 175 lbs. WR/CB. Caught 6 passes for 186 yards and 4 TDs in a 42-6 win versus Pleasanton.
Cooper Jermark (St. John’s/Tipton Catholic) 2023. LB/WR. Battling against Sylvan-Lucas the junior rushed 7 times for 14 yards and 2 TDs and added 26 tackles (12 solo, 14 assist), a sack, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery.
Ely Jackson (Anthony-Harper-Chaparral) 2023. In a 32-0 victory over Trinity Academy he totaled 5 tackles, 3 TFLs, 2.5 sacks, and a PBU.
Grant Stubblefield (Blue Valley Northwest) 2023. RB. 6’1, 185 lbs. Playing against Blue Valley he rushed for 204 yards and 3 TDs. Hudl: vs. Blue Valley
Jace Thomas (Scott) 2023. The junior went for 27 carries for 203 yards and 3 TDs against Ulysses High School. Hudl: highlights

Jordan Kwiatkowski (Utica Stevenson) 2022. LB. 6’1, 225 lbs. The Central Michigan commit had a great performance against Utica as he rushed 16 times for 127 yards and 2 TDs, and added one catch for 22 yards + 13 tackles, 2 TFLs, and a sack. Hudl: vs. Utica
Noah Dobert (Dearborn) 2023. DB/ATH. 5’10, 185 lbs. Against Brighton the junior caught 9 balls for 195 yards and 3 TDs and forced a fumble on defense. Hudl: highlights
Carson Roose (University Liggett) 2022. QB. 6’5, 215 lbs. In a 38-30 win against University Prep the All-League QB went 20-39 for 275 yards and 5 TDs.
Evan Wakefield (Michigan Lutheran Seminary) 2023. RB. Despite a 40-22 loss to Breckenridge Mr. Wakefield recorded 19 carries for 203 yards and a TD.
Kellen Reed (Holt) 2022. WR. Tallied 4 receptions for 133 yards and 2 TDs in a 44-14 win against Mason.
William Gaskell V (Milan) 2024. LB. 6’2, 205 lbs. The sophomore had himself a night against Huron as he put up 10 carries for 48 yards and a TD, one catch for 20 yards, 22 total tackles (7 solo, 15 assisted), 5 TFLs, an interception, and 2 forced fumbles. Talk about production!
Cole Hopkins (Evart) 2023. OLB. In a 48-6 whoopin’ of Roscommon the junior posted 11 carries for 77 yards and a TD, 2 catches for 40 yards, 11 total tackles (6 solo, 5 assisted), and 4 sacks.
John Hartgerink (Saugatuck) 2022. DB/RB. 6’2, 180 lbs. Against Lakeview he went for 5 rushes for 51 yards and 2 TDs, a catch for 21 yards, 3 tackles, 2 interceptions, 2 kickoff returns for 55 yards, and a punt return for 25 yards.
Minnesota
Carson Hansen (Lakeville South) 2023. RB. 6’1, 190 lbs. One of my favorite ’23s in MN posted 14 carries for 213 yards and 3 TDs plus one reception for 40 yards and a TD. Hudl: Game 1 Highlights
Jack Boyle (Chaska) RB. Against Bloomington Jefferson Mr. Boyle rushed 23 times for 251 yards and 4 TDs.
Jaden Deacon (Murray County Central) 2023. RB. In a victory over MACCRAY he recorded 29 rushes for 274 yards and 5 TDs plus a two-point conversion run.
Jacob Weckop (Randolph) 2022. QB. The Rockets are stacked this year and beat Waterville-Elysian-Morristown thanks to his going 12-17 for 331 yards and 5 TDs while adding 41 rushing yards and a TD on the ground. Hudl: highlights

Nick Williams (Owatonna) 2022. WR. Won Applebee’s player of the game selection with 9 catches for 205 yards and 1 TD. It was only 13 yards shy of the school record!
Clayton Kosel (Lakeview) 2023. RB/LB. In Week 1 he posted 124 rushing yards, 4 TDs, and returned a kickoff for a TD. Hudl: Week 1
