Bennett Meredith Bennett Meredith 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Hoover | 2022 State AL , Hoover High School – c/o 22
6’3″ 200lbs
It’s difficult to call a player a sleeper that is the signal-caller for one of the premier high school programs in the state of Alabama, but that is exactly what Bennett Meredith Bennett Meredith 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Hoover | 2022 State AL is. Hoover High School opened the season in the prestigious Corky Kell Classic in Georgia against North Gwinnett, and Meredith played lights out! In that game, he threw for 330 yds and 4 TDs. He followed that up with another 200 yds 4 TD performance against Alpharetta (GA) in only 2 quarters of play. He has arm strength, accuracy, and his awareness in the pocket is outstanding. He can play Power-5 football!

William Lankford, Pelham High School – c/o 22
6’3″ 180lbs
Lankford started the season with a bang as he led his team to a big 42-6 win against Mortimer Jordan. Lankford had 129 yds passing and 3 TDs in the game, and he added 31 yds rushing on 5 attempts. Lankford can make all the throws, and he is a dangerous runner. The thing that stands out is that he doesn’t rely too much on his legs. He will make the throw before choosing to run. He holds 5 D1 offers, but I expect Power-5 teams to take notice of him as the season rolls on.

Earl Woods, Hueytown High School – c/o 23
5’11” 170lbs
Woods was not on my radar before the season started, but I believe he might be the best athlete playing QB in the state. Woods is dynamic with the ball in his hands, and he has a lot of “wow” plays every game. I would compare him to someone like Tyrrell Pigrome that played QB for Clay-Chalkville. He can use his legs to open up the passing game, and he is a threat to take one to the house every time he runs it.

Griffin Hanson, Mars Hill Bible High School – c/o 24
5’9″ 155lbs
You might not have heard of him yet, but Griffin Hanson will be a name to remember in the next two years. He led his team to the state championship game as an 8th-grader and led them to a state championship win as a 9th grader. I don’t know what you were doing as an 8th grader, but it wasn’t leading my high school football team to state. Hanson throws the deep ball well, and he is an effective runner. His toughness is on display every game because he plays safety for the Mars Hill defense. I expect major interest to come his way in the next two years.
