Darius Johnson, 5’11”, 160, Jersey Village, Jr
Terrific instincts to go with tight breaks that don’t leave the framework of his body. Johnson drives to the man and shows strong hands in traffic. He has plenty of recovery speed and will run to the near hip and shoot his hands through the intended receiver’s paws.
Caiden Robinson, 6’1″, 170, Rockwall, Sr
The first thing that jumps out to me is Robinson’s vertical stature. College coaches love cornerbacks with length on the perimeter, and Caiden not only has the height but also the ability to go with it. This is an intelligent prospect that reads the quarterback like a hawk. He’s not afraid to jump a route and take it the other way for six. He’s comfortable in press coverage and displayed a strong off-hand jam.
Maliik Edwards, 5’11”, 170, Tompkins, Sr
An efficient cornerback prospect with plenty of leaping ability and noticeable body control. Edwards is rarely beat over the top and does a good job leaning and locating the football. He’s physical at the point of attack and can evade blocks using both his speed & strength. Make no mistake; this is also a cornerback that likes to come up and tackle in space.
Raymond Davis, 6′, 180, Cypress Park, Sr
An intelligent safety that will bait quarterbacks into throws. Raymond displayed outstanding burst when reading route combinations and the ability to punch the football out once a receiver gets his hands on it. He’s an aggressive tackler that will come to balance and use the gator roll tackle in space. His ability to make plays on the football and physicality as a tackler make him someone college coaches need to know about.
Amin White, 5’10”, 165, Frisco Memorial, Sr
White can win in contested matchups and will make you pay on overthrows. He does a spectacular job reading receivers routes and overlapping in zone coverage. He’s a more than able tackler who looks to deliver shots on ball carriers. Amin is capable of playing both off and press coverage & looks like a polished veteran in both.
Justin Martinez, 5’8″, 150, Pampa, Jr
Don’t let his size fool you; this kid is a baller. Martinez always seems to be around the football making plays. On tape, he displayed outstanding closing speed and some serious wiggle with the ball in his hands. This young man can go up and get it & will not wait for the ball to come to him. He’s a master of the sweep tackle, taking out opposing ball carrier’s legs.
