In the week 2 affair the two teams lit up the field offensively ending the contest with a 28 – 14 scoreboard. Each drive was a battle as the defenses on the teams also didn’t let up early, it was very competitive game despite the score.
#2 WR Cameron Brogan (Bullitt East)
Cameron was their go to receiver on any passing play, and was commonly double teamed. Brogan was a good mix of decent size & speed, was able to get open often and was able to win 50/50 balls often as well. Was always a threat for Spencer County and was able to open up the run game for his QB and RB while the defense focused on him.
#77 OL Ethan Holden (Spencer County)
There were a lot of good performances from Linemen today, but the best one was the only O-Linemen on Spencer to be able to buy the QB any time or make holes for the running backs. Ethan Holden was great tonight using his massive size to hold back multiple defenders. Best Linemen in todays game.
#10 QB Travis Egan (Bullitt East)
Was put in pressure many times and avoided a lot of sacks. His percentage was low but, he had a lot of blitzes and rightfully so it was the only thing effecting their amazing aerial attack, throw +240, and 2 TDs.
#73 OL Peyton Stafford (Bullitt East)
Was the power blocker, and played both sides effectively. Hugh endurance, big frame linemen, definitely some potential in Peyton, as this was the first game I’ve seen him play. Stafford was able to block downfield and sometimes had the awareness to know his QB was running and would transition mid passing play to another level.
#20 WR Nolan Davenport (Bullitt East)
Nolan was amazing tonight and his stats speak for themselves. He caught 6 for 130 yards and 2 for TDs. Alot of throws he was able to burn his man to man with foot movement or just pure speed. Fast receiver that always was there to punish Spencer County when they double covered Brogan and excelled at his task.
