Stats: 13/19 161 passing yards 2 TD’s, 5 carries 29 yards, 1 rushing TD
Noah is building momentum as one of the top QB’s in the state. He lead the Cardinals to a 24-7 win over #4 McDonogh who had a healthy Dani Dennis Sutton, arguably the #1 recruit in Maryland. The beast on the edge did not phase Brannock as he showed great accuracy during his scrambles and rollouts. This week his accuracy impressed as he squeezed passes through tight holes in the Eagles defense.
Brannock vs. McDonogh Highlights
Malik Hemmian – #3, 5’10 190, DB/WR, 2022, Atholton
Stats: 4 reception, 122 yards, 1 TD
Hemmian is a complete athlete with great size. He is listed as a safety for Atholton but is no doubt one of the best receivers on their team. He was all over the spring 7-on7 circuit making one hand and contested catches, which translated very well. Malik had a great one hand catch in week 2. Fighting through pass interference and took it the distance for a touchdown. Atholton shows that they want the ball in his hands with multiple screen passes throughout the game.

Makai Young – #21, 6’0 195, MLB, 2023, McDonough (Pomfret, MD)
Stats: 10+ Tackles, 2.5 Sacks
This junior linebacker shows great sideline to sideline range. He’s fast enough to chase down screen passes and sweeps after being caught in the traffic at the line of scrimmage. He also brings power behind his tackles

Gavin Nelson- #2 , 6’1 175, WR, 2022, Franklin
Stats: 8 catches 143 yards (leads MD in Rec. yards)
Nelson played up to his competition in a tough loss to national power St. Francis Academy. He showed his athleticism and relentlessness on a curl pattern. He turned a short gain into a 20+ yard gain with a broken tackle, then kept his balance by using his hand to stay on his feet, he showed his vision as he jet across the field and fought for extra yards as the panthers finally corralled and tackled him. I love to see that drive in players even when the score is out of reach, he played hard until the last seconds ticked away.
