Brookwood would battle to win Friday's home game against Bessemer City 28-22. This hard fought battle featured some old school football with solid defensive prospects and solid line play. Check out who we think has what it takes to excel at the next level.


Recorian Williams MLB Bessemer 

Williams is an old-school linebacker who is consistent in his contributions as a run stopper. He patrols the middle of the field and anchors the defense with fundamentally sound tackles and discipline. He does an excellent job of limiting false steps and getting to the gap and meeting the running back head-on. Throughout the game, he showed the stamina of an every-down backer and a willingness to compete on every down. His traditional style will flourish in a 3-4 system where he can maximize his abilities as a run stopper at the college level. 

Jake Smithson QB Brookwood 

Smithson was primarily used as a runner but also showed flashes with his passing ability. His baseball background beamed throughout the night with various off-platform throws, alternate arm angles, and throws on the run.
