Devin Sperling – Mayfield – QB – 6’2″ 180 lbs
Sperling was really good on Friday. Mayfield found themselves in a slugfest on Friday and needed Sperling to make a few big plays to come out with the win. Sperling delivered. He started slow but got hot and then was on fire. He started the scoring off with a 1-yard rushing TD to take the lead. Mayfield was continuously out on the move and extending plays. He made the defense pay as he had 250 total yards and 2 TDs on the night.
Tymir Cardona – Kenston – WR – 5’7″ 145 lbs
Cardona is only a freshman but each week he’s gotten better and more comfortable with the offense. He’s quickly become the favorite slot WR and for good reason. He’s able to make anyone miss and runs a fairly complete route tree. He’s good with the ball in his hands and that’s where he thrived on Friday. He had almost 100-yards after the catch on Friday. He helped Guide Kenston to a hard-fought win on Friday.
Rayshon Kennedy Rayshon Kennedy 6'3" | 240 lbs | RB Lutheran East | 2022 OH – Lutheran East – RB – 6’4″ 240 lbs
Kennedy is a very powerful back who is going to drag defenders with him. He broke a big run to open the game and the defense backed off. That was arguably the worst thing they could’ve done. Once Kennedy gets going downhill, it takes a few players to bring him down. He hit the A-gap and had 4 guys trying to bring him down. He kept the legs churning and somehow busted through the hole and was gone for the TD. Kennedy rushed for just under 200-yards and a TD on the night as Lutheran East got the win in overtime.
Dimario Ballon – Brush – QB
Ballon is a ton of fun to watch. Whenever he starts moving the defense gets in trouble. He’s elite with the ball in his hands and is going to pick up a ton of yards. He’s dynamic in the open field and makes guys miss. He also has a decent arm and can make most of the throws. He was slinging it all over the yard on Friday. Ballon finished the night with over 200-yards and 2 TDs on the night.
Drew Allar Drew Allar 6'5" | 215 lbs | QB Medina | 2022 State OH – Medina – QB – 6’4″ 228 lbs
It is so hard not to put Allar on here every week because he’s one of the best players in the country. He’s a walking clinic and does it all. Medina continues to roll and is still undefeated on the season. They enter the playoffs as favorites to make a deep run into the playoffs. Allar lit the scoreboard up again on Friday as they rolled Solon 49-7. The best part, this was supposed to be a big ranked vs ranked matchup. Allar hung those 49 points in the first half and didn’t play in the second half. he had 257-yards and 5 total TDs on the night.
