Ben Barnes – Buckeye – RB – 5’11″ 180 lbs
Barnes was fantastic on Friday. He’s explosive out of the hole and shoots out of a cannon. He’s a jumper when he’s running and likes to go up and over. It causes him to have some hard falls but he always bounces back up. He’s able to come out of the backfield and catch passes as well. He finished the night with just under 200 rushing yards and a TD.
Hakeem Quran – Lakewood – RB – 5’11″ 181 lbs
Quran is an explosive back who is great in open space. He’s going to make the first-level defenders miss before he breaks out to the open field. He isn’t going down on the first tackler and he’s an explosive cutter. He can handle all 3 downs and never gets tired either. He had 150-yards and 2 TDs on the night.
Drew Allar Drew Allar 6'5" | 215 lbs | QB Medina | 2022 State OH – Medina – QB – 6’5″ 217 lbs
Anytime Allar steps on the field he’s probably going to put on a clinic. Friday was no different and he was dealing. He was moving Medina up and down the field all night and he never slowed down. He’s fantastic at reading the coverage, staying calm, and delivering a strike. He has Medina now sitting at 8-0 and red hot.
Drew Hensley – Medina – WR – 6’2″ 180 lbs
Whenever you have a superstar QB a lot of things come easy for you but you still have to ball out. Hensley is an absolute animal with the ball in his hands. He will fight for every yard and he doesn’t quit moving when in contact. He keeps the legs churning like an RB and holds onto the ball with both hands. Hensley had 11 catches, over 100-yards, and a TD.
Javon Russell – Brunswick – RB – 6’1″ 200 lbs
Russell is a ton of fun to watch and he’s only getting better. He’s a sophomore and is getting more work each week. He’s developing and doing the little things that they ask him to. He’s able to cut on a dime, make a guy miss, and catch passes out of the backfield. He can do it all and he’s very dynamic. He finished the night with 121-yards and a TD.
