Both teams incredibly familiar with one another and maybe this would be a preview of another clash in December at UCO. Then the game began. Then got the ball in his hands and wasn’t touched on his way to the end zone. That would be the first of ten Bixby touchdowns as the Spartans rolled to a 70-7 victory over Choctaw, extending their winning streak to 42 consecutive wins. Bixby would score on their first six possessions and make it look easy as they jumped out to a 42-7 halftime lead. Even when Choctaw scored in the first quarter, chipping away at the lead to 21-7, Bixby immediately responded and scored within 90 seconds. The Spartans were dominant from start to finish. Junior athlete finished with three rushing touchdowns on the evening. Presley finished with a touchdown rushing and receiving. Zach Blankenship, and all added rushing touchdowns as well. Senior quarterback had an excellent night throwing the ball. He finished 17-27 for nearly 300 yards and three touchdowns. The two other touchdown passes went to junior standout and OU commit and senior receiver Preston Solomon, who caught a perfectly thrown ball in stride for a 73 yard touchdown. Hasz’s touchdown was his first touchdown reception of this season. He played like one of the top juniors in the state as he was making incredible catches and followed that up by steamrolling Choctaw defenders. While this match-up had plenty of hype around it, the three-time defending champion Spartans made sure the match-up itself would have zero drama. The consensus about the Spartans has easily become that they are not only the best teams in Oklahoma, but one of the best in the nation.

TURNING POINT The turning point in this game came in the opening coin toss. Choctaw won the toss and deferred, giving Bixby the ball first. Bixby immediately scored not once, but twice in the first 30 seconds. The first touchdown was called back for a holding penalty and the very next play ended in another Bixby touchdown. This one counted, and it was the first of ten touchdowns that Bixby’s offense scored on Friday night. The Spartans would score on their first six possessions and led 42-7 by halftime. The Sandites suffered their first loss of the season on Friday night when they lost to Booker T Washington at home. Bixby has dominated Sand Springs in recent memory but the Sandites will bring a balanced offensive attack to challenge Bixby’s winning streak. Choctaw: The Yellowjackets will look to bounce back in week seven on a short week for Fall Break. They’ll travel to Muskogee to take on the Roughers on Thursday. Muskogee dominated Bartlesville on Friday night and won their second game in the last three weeks after starting the season 0-3 after non-district play.
