This week is a great week for the Homewood Patriots as they take on the Mountain Brook Spartans. The Patriots come off a sore loss last week against Shades Valley High School with a score of 10-8. The Homewood Patriots had a very tough game last week but came up short of a victory. The Patriots will be holding a chip on their shoulder this week offensively with the number 6 ranked team in the state of Alabama coming into their home with a 6-1 record. The Homewood Patriots will have to do a great job offensively to create opportunities for the defense to make big stops throughout the whole game. From watching films and studying the Patriot offense, they are liable to put up points and break apart any defense that comes in their way. The main focus for the Patriots’ offense will be focus, discipline, and finishing every play very hard.
Offense Report
The Homewood Patriots are coming into this game with some good numbers that they have put up over the past few weeks of this regular season. The Patriots are averaging about 300 yards of total offense per game with the help of star quarterback Woods Ray Woods Ray 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Homewood | 2023 State AL . Woods Ray Woods Ray 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Homewood | 2023 State AL is leading the offense for the Patriots in total yards by averaging 212 total yards per game, also with 170.9 passing yards per game. Every step with this team starts with a leader, and with the hands and leadership of this phenomenal quarterback is such a plus for this Patriots offense. The Patriots’ home is also in good hands with wide receiver JC Daniels, who is a huge target on this offense. Daniel leads the way with a total of 322 yards on the season with an average of 15.3 yards on 21 catches. Daniel is a huge asset to the Homewood Patriots offensive unit with the simple capacity of being one of the top targets for Mr. Ray. Daniels has an average of 46 yards per game with a total of 4 total touchdowns on the season for the Homewood Patriots offense. J.C.Daniel also led the team in points per game with 7.3 points per game for the Patriots as a wide receiver and kicker. The kid is such a great athlete with the ability to score touchdowns as a receiver and make extra points as a kicker. Another key offensive player is Aron Marsch. This kid has been electrifying the field with his presence as an excellent route runner for the Patriots. This kid has a total of 404 total receiving yards with six touchdowns on 28 catches. Every game, Marsch puts up great numbers to help lead the Homewood Patriot offense to a successful night. This kid has so much college football player potential at any level with the way he is playing for the Patriots at home. I can not wait to go out and watch this kid run around the field with the excellent route running and breakaway speed he has. This kid has so much potential and I’m here for the ride, because being an open target for a great quarterback is a plus for this offense to compete against the Mountain Brook Spartans.
