The Titans had an impressive overtime win over Bishop McGuinness Friday night. For details about that game go check out the game recap. In this weeks scouting report we will look at some of the top performers for the Titans.
Reed Dequasie Reed Dequasie 6'2" | DB Carl Albert | 2023 State OK JR- QB 6’3” 185lbs
DeQuasie takes over for long time and state title winning Titan QB Ben Harris Ben Harris 6'1" | QB Carl Albert | 2021 State OK who is now at the University of Oklahoma, but even with big shoes to fill Reed lived up to expectations in his Titan-Irish Rivalry debut. Reed found Trey Washington for a 73-yard TD in the first quarter that helped swing momentum in favor of the Titans. DeQuasie showed good touch on his throws all night picking his spots against the Irish defense very well. He also showed he’s very capable of beating you with his legs and has the clutch gene that Titan QBs seem to always possess in crucial games and moments. DeQuasie was a very efficient 8/11 through the air with 176 yards passing and 2 TDs. He also had 70 yards on the ground with the crucial TD run in overtime to give the Titans the win. I fully expect Reed to continue to lead the Titans in what looks to be another deep playoff run. DeQuasie had this to say about the future of his Titan team “I’m excited for the future of this program and how much we have been growing over these past weeks and looking forward to carrying on the Titan tradition.”
Buddy Bizzell Buddy Bizzell 6'1" | RB Carl Albert | 2022 State OK SR- RB 6’2” 205lbs
Kentrell “Buddy” Bizzell was in top form Friday night running through the Irish defense and helping the Titan offense maintain control of the game on the ground. Bizzell started the Titan scoring with a 49-yard rushing TD that saw him break through several Irish defenders and show off really good speed. Bizzell then kicked off the second half scoring effort with another TD run from inside the five yard line. This time Bizzell would begin in the wildcat and force his way through the line of scrimmage to find the end zone. Bizzell would finish the night with 121 rushing yards on 16 attempts and two TDs on the ground. Even though Bizzell only had 16 attempts I promise the Irish defense felt every single one of them. Watch out for Bizzell to continue the tradition of great Titan rushers as he looks to finish his high school career with another Carl Albert state title.
Other Notable Plays-
Trey Washington WR- 73-yard TD reception
Quincy Tompkins WR- 28-yard TD reception
The Titans did a great job with a balanced offensive attack and opportunistic defense. The Titans (4-2) will take on Piedmont next week at home.
