Laban Davis Laban Davis 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Eastside | 2022 State IN – Eastside – QB – 6’0″ 185 lbs
Everyone in the area understands that when Davis takes the field all eyes are on him. He’s such a good athlete and leader for the Blazers that they go as he goes. He came out Friday a bit nervous and because of that, the Blazers offense stalled early in the game. Davis found his groove when he completed a strike over the middle of the field. Davis was diving and laying out for the first down when he had to run as well. He had pressure in his face most of the night and did a great job avoiding it by staying on the move and keeping his eyes downfield. In the second half, that’s when things started to pick up and Davis delivered a heat-seeking missile in the back of the endzone for a TD. Davis finished the night with over 100-yards on the ground and 100-yards through the air along with the TD pass.
Dylan Bredemeyer – Eastside – WR – 6’0″ 170 lbs
Bredemeyer was Davis’s primary target on the night and he had a big game. Davis would put the ball where he anticipated Dylan being and he was right most of the time. Bredemeyer has soft hands and is able to guide the ball all the way in. He isn’t going to drop it when it comes his time. He had 6 receptions for just under 75-yards on the night. He converted 3 first downs with his 6 receptions. He was Davis’s checkdown and that’s all they needed to keep the offense floating until the big strike happened.
Scott Ballentine – Andrean – QB – 6’0″ 175 lbs
The young gunslinging QB didn’t have a massive night with numbers but he guided the offense as well as he could have. The Fighting 59ers had a great game plan and they needed Scott to drive the car. He put the ball where it needed to be, made quick decisions, and ran for a few first downs. He dropped a beautiful dime into his brother’s hands for a long TD to give them a 14-0 lead early in the 3rd. Ballentine finished the night with just under 200 scrimmage yards and the TD.
Robert Ballentine – Andrean – WR – 6’0″ 190 lbs
Andrean kept trying the deep shots and they finally hit one. Ballentine got behind the entire defense and was loose. The ball fell right into his arms right over his shoulder and he was gone. There was no catching him and he hit the endzone for 6. This TD gave Andrean a 14-0 lead. Ballentine wasn’t done because he caught a few more passes on the night and ended the day with just under 100 receiving yards and his TD.
Drayk Bowen Drayk Bowen 6'2" | 215 lbs | LB Andrean | 2023 State IN – Andrean – RB – 6’2″ 215 lbs
Bowen is their workhorse and he is quite the back. He has extremely powerful legs and his lower body is incredibly hard to tackle. He was churning those legs and running through the Eastside defenders all night. He isn’t going to make very many guys miss but he will run them over. He’s also great in pass protection and they leave him on an island when they call his number to block. He rushed for over 100-yards on the night and he earned every single one of those. Eastside’s defense is no joke and Bowen had to plow ahead for every inch.
