The victory was the 4th in a row for the Knights. This season, the Knights have averaged 32.71 points per game on offense and have given up 17.57 points per game on defense. DB, Tyson Grimm Tyson Grimm 6'2" | 200 lbs | DB Archbishop Hoban | 2022 OH , 6’2, 200, Archbishop Hoban
Tyson Grimm Tyson Grimm 6'2" | 200 lbs | DB Archbishop Hoban | 2022 OH is the 19th ranked DB in the class of 2022. The Senior DB has played a large role in the success of the Knights this year. He plays as a SS. Against the pass, he excels in man coverage as he delivers a powerful strike to the frame of the slot receiver and uses his very good play speed and athletic ability to stay with his man all over the field preventing the WR from getting open. Against the run, he uses his good instincts as he takes the correct angle in pursuit of the RB and plays with good leverage and technique as he brings the RB down with ease.
OL, Keon Johnson, 6’5, 365, Archbishop Hoban
The Junior OL has had an excellent season. He plays as a LT. As a run blocker, he uses his very good play strength and physical toughness to drive the 5T off the ball with ease creating a big hole for the RB. In pass pro, he keeps his feet constantly moving and uses his hands well to deliver a good punch and uses his impressive play speed and athletic ability to stay with the DE and prevent him from pressuring the QB.
DL, Bryce Sisak, 6’2, 250, Archbishop Hoban
The Senior DL has played very well this season. He plays primarily as a DT lined up in a 3T. Against the pass, he displays excellent burst of the ball, exhibits very good play strength and physical toughness as he sheds the block and plays with a great motor that enables him to chase down the mobile QB for a sack. Against the run, he shows great lateral quickness to beat the OT to the inside while keeping his eyes on the ball carrier the entire time. He uses his play strength effectively to deliver a powerful hit to the RB for a TFL.
DB, Chase Myers, 5’11, 156, Avon
The Senior DB has looked great all year. He plays as a CB. Against the run, he uses his good football intelligence to key and diagnose the play, his great play strength to shed the WR block and shows good heart as he brings down the larger RB with ease. Against the pass, he uses his quickness to stay in phase with his man preventing him from breaking open. In addition to playing CB, he has also played QB at times as well.
RB, Gavin Ehrhardt, 6’0, 212, Avon
The Junior RB has played well this season. He shows good vision as he quickly finds the open hole, showing good quickness as he is able to bend it back if need be and displays good burst through the hole as he gets through the hole quickly. Once in the secondary, he shows very good quickness and acceleration as he outruns all defenders for a TD. He is an outstanding blocker as he gets in front of the QB on design runs, squares up and delivers a crushing block to the LB creating a lane for the QB to pick up significant yardage.
