Heyerly took over the game and put on a clinic. He caught fire and then just began to dominate the game on both sides of the ball. We’re going to see him on the defensive standouts but that doesn’t overshadow his offensive performance. He rushed for over 200-yards and was running through defenders all night. He busted 2 TD runs over 40-yards. He finished the night with 4 TDs on the ground as they ran past South Adams.
Laban Davis Laban Davis 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Eastside | 2022 State IN – Eastside – QB – 6’0″ 185 lbs
Laban is a walking highlight machine and he makes it look effortless. On the first drive of the night, he took Eastside right down the field and scored a TD on the ground. He was breaking tackles all night and delivered the ball with a purpose to his WRs when he needed to throw. He busted a 40-yard TD run on the second drive of the night. He wasn’t done breaking long TD runs as he busted another early in the 3rd QTR. He finished the night with just under 300 scrimmage yards and 3 TDs as they got the win and are heading to Semi-State.
Jett Engle – Eastbrook – RB – 6’0″ 185 lbs
Engle kept fighting all night long and stayed in the pocket and would take the hits when he delivered the ball. Eastside’s defense was relentless but Engle stayed and fought until the last second. He was able to deliver a few beautiful balls deep down the field. He finished the night with over 200 scrimmage yards and 2 TDs on the night.
Gage Bankert – Zionsville – RB – 5’11” 170 lbs
Bishop Dwenger made the trip down to Zionsville and Bankert welcomed them with a TD on the very first drive of the game. He was running through Dwenger defenders all night and wore them down. He’s a strong back for his size and fights for every inch. He finished the night with over 100 rushing yards and 2 TDs as Zionsville got the win.
Tagg Gott – Northridge – RB – 6’0″ 195 lbs
Gott was fantastic on Friday. Over the past few weeks, obviously, the weather has gotten colder, and being able to run the ball has gotten much more important. Having a back like Gott will really help your chances. He’s a powerful back and is going to do everything he can for his team. He rushed for over 150-yards and a TD on the night as Northridge got the win.
