Tyler Walton, 6’5″, 230, North Gwinnett
An explosive pass rusher with long arms and a quick get-off. Walton has a deep toolbox of counter moves that he uses if his speed rush fails. He’s slippery at the point of attack and can anchor down & stay put against run blocks. If he can’t get to the quarterback, he’ll get his arms up, looking to swat the ball at the line.
D’Aren Igho-Osagie D’Aren Igho-Osagie 6'2" | 330 lbs | DL Warner Robbins | 2023 GA , 6’3″, 330, First Presbyterian Day School
A massive nose tackle with a great first step. D’Aren is stout against the run and nearly impossible to single block. He’s shown hands that are like cinder blocks and will jolt opposing offensive linemen backwards with his punch. He keeps his pad level low and showed surprising stamina for a man his size.
Cole Semien, 6’4″, 270, Benedictine Military
A high motor defensive lineman with a great build. Cole shows active hands and a powerful upper-half that he uses to fight through blocks in the run game. He does a good job reading & reacting and will shed blocks quickly to make tackles from behind. Semien played as a head-up four technique but most certainly will kick down inside to a three-technique at the next level.
Miquon Merriweather, 6’3″, 295, Carver
On tape, Merriweather does a great job getting skinny through down blocks and consistently created penetration. He’s awfully twitchy for a man his size, with speed that gives centers & guards serious issues. Miquon shows explosive hips that are united with his violent hands. Overall, this young man has the raw quickness and strength that you look for in an interior defensive line prospect.
Mekhi Buchanan, 6’4″, 210, Allatoona
An athletic prospect that can rush the passer or drop into coverage when need be. Mekhi uses his long arms to get lock-out on tackles before promptly ripping off to make a play. He has experience on and off the ball & can even contribute on special teams. He’s going to have to add some weight this off-season, but I think he’s a really intriguing prospect based on his frame and ability to play all over the place.
Ezra Odinjor, 6’4″, 220, Allatoona
A skilled pass rusher who knows how to put speed to power. Ezra’s bull rush is pretty filthy and can cause the pocket to collapse relatively quickly. He shows phenomenal bend and the ability to fight through double teams. Guys who look like him aren’t supposed to have the lateral movement skills that he does. He moves more like a linebacker than a defensive lineman.
