This game featured explosive plays from dynamic prospects, track-level speed, and a playoff atmosphere that only brings out the best in these worthy competitors. Check out who we believe stood out in this heated 2nd round match-up.
Khalifa Keith RB Parker
Khalifa Keith is one of the best running back in the state, regardless of class. Has a rare combination of size, speed, strength and is an elite prospect in the state. Keith is a certified home run hitter generating two 50-yard + plays and a 70-yard run to bring his total to 275 rushing yards with six total touchdowns in a dominating performance versus Alexandria. His elite acceleration and speed to turn routine 4-yard gains to 80-yard plays. Keith also showed the toughness to run in between tackles and convert in rugged goal-line situations. If Keith can keep up this level of play, he’ll continue to get D1 interest and climb up the state rankings.

Javais McGhee QB Alexandria
McGhee is lighting in the bottle and can play any skill position at a high level. With 4.4 speed and shifty elusiveness, McGhee can leave defenders with broken ankles and a cloud of dust. McGhee lined up as both a quarterback and wide receiver and made plays at both positions. McGhee shows a sufficient ability to run routes and excels in gaining yards after the catch, constantly making defenders miss. In addition, he forces the defense to account for his legs by running the power option scheme as a quarterback. He also brings an ability to hit passes off of play-action and throw the deep ball when it’s available.
William Shelton QB Parker
Shelton is a smooth Quarterback who is effective with both his arm and his legs. As a passer, he shows good pocket awareness and an ability to sense pressure. Does an excellent job of delivering with velocity in the quick game and showed great arm strength and timing with the deep ball. He throws with velocity and has solid ball placement when working the intermediate level of the field. As a runner, Shelton is a converted track star with 4.5 speed who can smoothly accelerate to hit top gear when he sees a crease. He also does a good job of being elusive in the open field. Shelton can be a serviceable quarterback at the next level and possibly develop into a D1 prospect after honing his craft at a D2 or JUCO level.
Antonio Ross RB Alexandria
Antonio Ross is a smooth athlete who can transition to top speed at ease. He is always on balance and uses his long stride to eat up yards in the open field. Ross Shows excellent vision and patience, allowing blocks to develop and read and react to what’s in front of him. In addition, he shows an ability to cut back on any given play when necessary. Ross’ vision, size, and subtle speed will make him a solid addition to any program at the next level and a top running back within his region.
Courtland Watkins CB Parker
Watkins is a defensive back that can cover and run support at a high level. With four interceptions on the season, it’s clear Alexandria planned to stay away from his side. However, Watkins still finds ways to affect the game by supporting the run with speed and physicality. Watkins ran down several plays and set the edge well for a corner. Watkins showed versatility by lining up at the slot, outside linebacker, and corner against the Valley Cubs.
