1) Gabe Wooden (Taylor County) Sr.
Gabe is a great edge threat that offers high production especially in fast paced games. Wooden is a beast averaging more than 8 tackles a game, usually holds the edge and collapses in the middle if the runs goes there, rarely will you see a running back go further than 5 yards if Gabe Wooden is nearby.
2) Keondre Weathers (Campbellsville) So.
Weathers is a strong option for Campbellsville, he doesn’t lose 1 on 1 chances and is there to help if he can. Campbellsville has had issues defensively but would have even more trouble if Keondre wasn’t on the team, great tackler and solid rusher.
3) Jacob Thornberry (Thomas Nelson) So.
Jacob has a great ability to get through blocks and has athleticism to make the most out of it when he breaks through the line. Thornberry is a great pass rusher and pass defender, recording 12 tackles in week 5.
4) Joey Holloway (Taylor County) Sr.
Joey Hollaway is a big part of the success at Taylor County this year, a leader and a good player. Protecting the edge and sealing gaps for the QB or RB to go through.
5) Daniel Evans (Fort Knox) Sr.
Fort Knox is a small school but has some talent that is worth mentioning, Daniel Evans has led the team in tackles on multiple occasions and has a few games where he finds his way to the QB, has potential and lots of talent already.
Honorable Mention : Hunter Falls (Campbellsville) So.
Has a lot of talent and gets good production, has plenty of time to develop into a solid linemen
