1) Chase Gridley DB (Thomas Nelson) Sr.
Chase Gridley is an amazing all around player, an athlete who can play QB, make tackles, and defend the pass. Chase plays on both sides of the ball in most Thomas Nelson games and excels on both sides of the ball as well. Most of his production comes in the form of defending passes and assisting tackles, but he is a very active player all throughout the game.
2) Kaeshon Smith (Taylor County) So.
Taylor county has a pair of great defenders and Smith is half of that, Smith can cause 3 and outs as he constantly makes some great plays. Has a load of skills and showcases them every week, not having a bad game always has some kind of output, and every other game he has some big stats where you can see he was very much a part of the wins Taylor County has,
3) Tristan Griffin (Fort Knox) Sr.
Tristan Griffin is a player who can tackle and defend the pass, a great corner or outside LB prospect as he has proven himself on a defensive unit that struggles, Griffin stands out as he is a focal point of the Fort Knox defense.
4) Lincoln Boblitt LB (Nelson County) Fr.
Lincoln Boblitt has only played his freshman season and already landed in the top 5, Nelson County has had a back and forth season, having some good wins, and some questionable loses. Despite his team’s inconsistency Boblitt finds a way each week to near 10 (or more) tackles and get a couple TFL or sacks, Lincoln Boblitt should cause some problems for teams that face Nelson County for the next 3 years.
5) Tyleeq Williams (Bardstown) So.
Bardstown had an amazing season, going completely undefeated, and it wouldn’t have been possible without some phenomenal individual performances. Tyleeq is a RB and LB for the Tigers and has some games where he blows up the other teams offense or he rushes for +150 with some TDs either way Williams is making an impact weekly. Being only a sophomore and playing a majority of game time, Tyleeq Williams will take his amazing play to another level in the seasons to come.
6) Daniel Forbis (Campbellsville) So.
Daniel Forbis is a beast for Campbellsville, most games he is the tackling leader averaging around 12, has a lot of solo tackles and TFL. Daniel Forbis has some good hit power for an underclassmen, mixed with the ability to make plays behind the line of scrimmage can cause some havoc in the backfield of opposing teams. All that and the fact this kid plays WR and RB on offense shows he has a lot of talent and is a great prospect for Campbellsville.
7) Logan Phillips (Campbellsville) Jr.
Logan Phillips is a player who gets involved no matter what, most of his tackles are him assisting his team mates. Campbellsville will initiate contact to slow down the ball carrier and a majority of the time Phillips comes in to put the play to rest. Logan Phillips has the speed and coordination, the only thing he can improve on is getting more involved with pass defending, but in all fairness very few teams were pass heavy that Campbellsville played this season.
8) Evan Hicks (Nelson County) Jr.
Evan Hicks is an athlete with speed and catching as his top skills, he can cut in a split second being able to track the best route runners and can get in the trenches and make some good tackles if the opposing RB makes past the front 7.
9) Kyle Lydian (Bardstown) So.
Another prospect out of Bardstown, Lydian is strictly a defender for the Tigers and can play multiple positions. Mainly playing LB as he has all the skills and putting him in the middle of the field gives him more opportunity to make plays. Lydian has caused several turnovers and is an integral part of an undefeated defense, making him a player to watch the next couple seasons.
10) Braden Smith (Thomas Nelson) Sr.
Atop the tackling charts and always there when a pass comes on his side of the field. Braden is a player who can play zone and man, while also having the awareness to attack a running a play before it too late.
