This young man has been blessed with the physical gifts that most players covet. Standing at 6’3 205 he is immediately noticeable on tape and possesses the ability to make plays all over the field. He has a long-limbed frame where he can still add more weight and still be able to move efficiently.
He’s listed in this article as ti end, but he has tape at middle linebacker and defensive end. Tight end may be the best for him because he has the ability to not only make catches but make the tough contested catches with much traffic around him. He has the leaping ability to go above the rim and make tough catches while being able to play through contact. The biggest reason why tight end should become his main position; he can make people miss after the catch. Showing solid foot speed and contact balance in one on one situations.
He has many reps where he lines up inline or out wide. Doesn’t seem to make a difference for him in terms of catching the ball and forcing defenders to miss tackles. He can get vertical or work the intermediate portions of the field. Has pretty fluid movement in out of his routes for a guy his size.
If he can add more weight to be more effective as a blocker and continue to hone his craft at tight end. By focusing on moving efficiently in and out of breaks. His options will become limitless as he furthers his football journey.
Gregory Boggans Box Safety, Cherry Hill West
Boggans is a player who shows no fear when attacking the line of scrimmage. At 5’11 175 although he isn’t that big he plays with much tenacity and toughness.
Shows great ability to use his hands when defeating blocks when he plays as a box safety. Has solid arm length to create separation between him and blockers to make tackles at or behind the line of scrimmage.
He can make plays as a middle-of-the-field safety showing solid range to be able to cover the deep portions of the field.
His playmaking around the line of scrimmage is where he excels at. He has a perfect frame for adding more weight where it won’t sacrifice his ability to move and still be effective in shedding blocks.
For as good as he is at box safety, would love to see more snaps covering slot receivers and tight ends. He has a lot of room to improve his stock in this area and could propel him to be one of the top safeties in the state with more of an emphasis on coverage
Kenny Jones OL, Delran
Any player that’s offered a scholarship to a D1 program as a sophomore isn’t underrated by any means. Just don’t see many people talking about his prospects when he has much room to grow and be dominant at two OL positions.
Kenny Jones is a big physical offensive lineman standing at 6’5 300lbs. Where the excitement stems from is his ability to deliver crushing blocks in the run game and his improving play in pass protection.
Has the ability to execute most run schemes and win in one on one situations. Using his stout lower body to generate power initially at the line of scrimmage. Also able to be able to get up to the second level to deliver efficient blocks against linebackers.
In pass protection, he is an improving player. He is able to beat most linemen with sheer power and athletic ability. His pad level and footwork can be improved.
With being a sophomore this year, you would expect some technical issues in terms of pad level, technique, and footwork. Although, all these areas can be honed and improved over time with great coaching, which I have seen firsthand at Delran.
Kenny Jones by his senior year could be the best OL in the state. With freaky tools that could lead to a long football journey.
Excited to see Soph. @KennyJones_77 put in work in the trenches. Already has offers from Rutgers and Temple. @DelranAthletics @CoachLucas74 @PrepRedzoneNJ pic.twitter.com/c1yTxXxfvP
