Here are a few players on the offensive side of the ball who could overcome the dominating defenses, at least in short spurts.
Kailan Schott Chatfield RB
Schott was the Gophers’ most effective offensive threat. He averaged over seven yards a carry and picked up a big first down with a run up the middle on a third and short. Schott also made the biggest catch for the Gophers’ offense with a 31-yard catch.
Anthony Sykora Anthony Sykora 5'10" | 185 lbs | ATH West Central Area | 2023 State MN West Central Area/Ashby

Evan Paulson West Central Area/Ashby QB
Despite his final statistics, Paulson was effective even though he had a tough matchup. He had a better than fifty percent completion rate and passed for more than 200 yards. His biggest throws were Matson Hoff’s conversion on a third-down and a thirty-yard touchdown pass to Cole Anderson.
Parker Delaney Chatfield QB
Delany was more effective with his legs than his arm, but he hit Cole Johnson for a first down on a rollout. He was a willing runner – his biggest run got him around the corner for a first down.
Cole Anderson West Central Area/Ashby
Anderson not only got into the end zone, but he also made a diving catch to keep a drive alive.
