Archbishop Hoban
OL, Drew Holt 6’2 288 (2023) – Drew has been one of the best OL in NE Ohio all year long. He is quick off the snap and fires his hands up and through DL on run blocks with aggression. Sets really well as Guard in pass protection and has a devastating punch. He is a good technician and has advanced run and pass blocking skills. He gets to the second and third levels and has the quickness to hang with the skills players.
DL, Jason Martin 6’0 255 (2023) – Jason is an outstanding DL with great playmaking ability from the NG position. He is very active with his feet and hands. He fires them up and through the OL and gets to lock out very quickly. He reads blocks well and sheds quickly delivering blows to the ball carriers. He is very quick and presents a lot of problems for blockers in the run and pass game. He is a relentless pass rusher who pushes the pocket. He has a good bull to rip move with good hip clear. Very impressive player for the Knights.
OL, Keon Johnson 6’5 365 (2023) – Keon is a monster at the LT position. He is extremely athletic for his size with unmatched aggression. He has long arms and when punching in the run and pass game he moves defenders back easily. He can really run and sparks an outside run game to his side. He has great drive on inside run and plays it with good technique. He is a great pass blocker with good posture, foot position and punch. Very impressive player and a rising star in the 2023 class.
Winton Woods
RB, Ty’Rek Spikes 5’7 157 (2022) – Ty’Rek is a stud on offense and special teams. He is very athletic and can score every time he touches the ball. Possesses an ability to make tackles think they have him down and then he squirts out for long yardage. He bursts through the gap with speed and separates in the open field. I am really impressed with his ability to hit the edge with speed. He could be a game changer on Thursday night.
QB, Austin Ellery, 6’0 175 (2022) – Dual threat QB with a big time arm and outstanding athleticism with his feet. Can make all the throws both deep and short with velocity and touch. Fits the ball in tight windows and throws WR’s into breaks. He is very accurate down the field. When he pulls the ball down he can really hurt you with his legs. Will need to have a huge game on Thursday.
