Continue ReadingDecember 15th marked the first day Division I FBS and FCS prospects were allowed to sign their National Letter of Intent (NLI) to the college of their choice. Not only is signing day an end to the recruiting process for these young men, but it’s the official closing of their high school athletic career. And the start of their next journey in life as, they put pen to paper and embark on furthering their academic and athletic careers. Here we take a look at some of the early signees from the class of 2022 in New York.
Justin Joly Justin Joly 6'5" | 210 lbs | TE Iona Prep | 2022 State NY – TE – Iona Prep
The Iona Prep standout made it official Wednesday December 15th by signing his with FBS independent UCONN over offers from Delaware, Sacred Heart, Bryant, Wagner, University at Albany, Richmond, New Hampshire, Monmouth, Maine, and Rhode Island.

Addison Copeland III Addison Copeland III 6'3" | 190 lbs | WR WNY Maritime | 2022 State NY – WR – WNY/Maritime
The Buffalo, New York speedster inked his NLI with the University of Pittsburgh of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Copeland III chose Pittsburgh over offers from the likes of BYU, Notre Dame, Rutgers, University at Buffalo, Indiana, Boston College, UMass, Penn State and South Carolina.

The states top DL recruit out of Hamburg, New York made it official on December 15th and signed with the University of Pittsburgh of the ACC. Scott Jr. chose Pittsburgh over the likes of South Carolina, Tennessee, Rutgers, West Virginia, Kentucky, Syracuse, Boston College, NC State, Arizona St., Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Colorado to name some of his 22 Total offers.
