The state of Georgia does a phenomenal job developing young talent and getting them ready to play early. This is a talented group who seems to be getting better game by game. Here’s who you need to know.
OL/DL: Justus Terry, 6’5″, 280, Manchester
OFFERS: Georiga, Penn State, USC, WKU, EKU
A talented two-way player who could have a future on either the offensive or defensive line. Despite his size, this young man can move and will effortlessly work up to the second level. He shows plenty of knee bend and hands that are like cinder blocks. On the defensive side, he plays with a low pad level and is quite slippery at the point of attack. He can split double teams and can move around & play as a one or three-technique.
QB: EJ Colson, 6’1″, 185, Cedar Grove
A posied quarterback with great pocket presence. Colson doesn’t get rattled against the rush and will step up in the pocket looking for a target with his eyes downfield. He shows strong improvisational skills when under duress and can make defenders miss in 1 on 1 tackle situations. The arm strength is already there, and he even displayed twitchy operation time in his release.
OFFERS: Arkansas, Western Kentucky
DB: Kendarius Reddick, 6′, 165, Thomas County
OFFERS: Georgia Tech, Arkansas
A tough cornerback prospect that enjoys contact. Reddick is consistent when left on an island and will play through the wideout’s hands. He’s a shifty return man who can set up offenses with good initial field position. He displayed clean breaks and impressive closing speed after seeing the ball thrown.
RB: Ousmane Kromah, 6’2″, 200, Lee County
OFFERS: FSU, Auburn
An absolute workhorse between the tackles with superb contact balance. His vision is beyond his years, as he can spot a seam, stick his foot in the ground and get north & south fast. Kromah has breakaway speed in the open field and can outrun defenders who have an angle on him. Don’t be shocked if he’s one of the top backs in the country by the time he’s a senior.
RB: Javin Gordon, 5’9″, 190, Stephens County
An underrated back with outstanding patience & burst. Gordon is a tenacious runner who will lower his shoulder when given the opportunity and will finish his runs falling forward. He showed an athletic lower half that he uses to muscle through arm tackle attempts. This kid has even proven that he can sling it out of the wildcat! He’s a really fun prospect to watch on tape and should develop nicely over the next three seasons.
