Continue ReadingThe two sessions of the Prep Redzone WI Stock Up Showcase in Elkhorn, WI were loaded with talent at every position group. I’ve been to six of our Prep Redzone Showcases over the past 18 months, and I can confidently say this was the most talented collection of athletes I have seen. Between the athletes who were back for their second or even third event, and the new faces that joined us, there was talent for every level of college football. The 130+ athletes made for a highly competitive environment, and brought the best out of a ton of athletes! Today, I want to look back at the trench monsters on both sides of the ball that stood out with their testing and performance in drills and the one on one battles.
Jaden Sharkey Jaden Sharkey 6'4" | 315 lbs | OL Union Grove | 2023 State WI , ’23 DL- Union Grove
The 6’4″ 300 lbs junior DT is a veteran of the Prep Redzone Showcases. This time through was by far the best that Sharkey has looked. To start, the junior has lost 60 lbs since the last time we saw him. It was noticeable not only as he was walking around, but as he was going through the tests, drills, and one on ones. The big man has improved his ability to change directions a ton, and his body control has made a big jump. The next step for Jaden is to start refining his technique, and that’s exactly what he told me he was turning his focus to now that he has lost the weight. As soon as he gets the technique honed in his heavy hands are going to become even more of a problem for interior offensive linemen. Expect to see Jaden rising in the rankings when we update the Class of 2023. It was a great day of work for the Union Grove product.
Paris Roby Paris Roby 6'3" | 300 lbs | OL Kenosha Bradford | 2022 State WI , ’22 DL- Kenosha Bradford (@ParisRoby1)
A senior that proved he needs far more recruiting attention is the 6’3″ 295 lbs DT Paris Roby Paris Roby 6'3" | 300 lbs | OL Kenosha Bradford | 2022 State WI out of Kenosha Bradford. He first stood out to me during position work where he got to show off his body control and change of direction. The big man has a clean frame and he is able to move smoothly with it. That body control also made him a reliable OT for the Bradford offense this fall as well. I believe Paris could play either side at the next level making him even more valuable. Name to know as a late steal! His Twitter is tagged above. Check him out.
Jace Miller Jace Miller 6'3" | 270 lbs | DL Franklin | 2024 State WI , ’24 DL- Franklin
One of the top underclassmen during Session 1 was the Franklin sophomore DL Jace Miller Jace Miller 6'3" | 270 lbs | DL Franklin | 2024 State WI . Coming in around 6’3″ 240 lbs, Miller has a frame ready to continue filling out as he looks to add the next level strength to pair with his already impressive length. Where he stood out to me was with his one on one battles. Jace demonstrated quick, violent hands that consistently were able knock down the OL hands as well as get into the chest of the OL where he could then win with leverage. He also had an effective swim move. Miller showed off a lot of tenacity and competitiveness in his reps that have me excited for his future. Between the skills, mentality, and frame Miller has the potential to be one of the top DL prospects in his recruiting class here in WI. Definitely a name to know if you don’t already.
Carson Nickel Carson Nickel 6'4" | 200 lbs | DL Elkhorn Area | 2022 WI , ’22 DL- Elkhorn (Carson’s 2021 Highlights)
A new face for me, and someone that I couldn’t wait to see live, was the 6’4″ 200 lbs Elkhorn DE. The senior is very under the radar, and it’s time to bring him out into the spotlight. Carson has exceptional length, and whether you watch the film or saw what he did during one on one battles at the Showcase you know he uses it to his advantage. He was able to show off an effective swim move, as well as the speed to run the loop to the QB. Nickel also let us see his quick get off, and the ability to quickly move laterally mid-pass rush. I was able to talk with him after the showcase, and can report he has been in talks with a couple of D3 programs, but he is still looking for an offer. Don’t miss out on this dude. He will need time to fill out his frame, but you don’t find this combination of length, agility, and pass rush ability this under the radar often. Get on this kid now before someone else steals him. Highlights are linked above by his school.
Elkhorn DE @carsonnickel5 was an athlete I couldn’t wait to see. He has delivered in 1 on 1s
– Legit 6’4” with the length to match
– good lateral agility

Allen Torian Allen Torian 6'3" | 220 lbs | DL Living Word | 2022 State WI , ’22 DL- Living Word
Allen turned heads right off the bat with a very intriguing frame. He is a sturdy, well put together 6’3 215 lbs and there is plenty of room for him to continue filling out into the size needed to be effective at the DE/OLB position at the next level. Allen earned one of the reps in the Call Out session to end the camp thanks to his impressive day. A day that allowed him to first show off his athleticism as he looked very smooth in read and react/change of direction drills. Once we got to the one on one battles, Allen was able to show more of the combination of power and athleticism that has made him a solid pass rusher. He was able to use leverage to drive back much larger OL prospects, and he also demonstrated some solid hand fighting when he didn’t try to win with power. Definitely a senior to give a look.
Andrew Jeske Andrew Jeske 6'2" | 210 lbs | DL Colby | 2022 WI , ’22 DL- Colby
A senior I was really hoping would have a strong day was the senior DE from Colby High School. The 6’2″ 200 lbs athlete delivered, and eventually earned a rep in the final call outs of the session. Jeske’s game relies on two major factors, and both shined during the first session. Those two factors being his initial burst/speed, and his high motor. Jeske is an athlete that will have to stay on the edge at the next level, but while out there he is going to be able to show off his quick first step and ability to bend and play below the hands of OL. The senior also demonstrated that he can change levels during his pass rush. His final rep of the day, Andrew showed off a swim move that quickly got him to the heels of the OT, from there he demonstrated a little bend, and quickly closed for the win. The second leading sack artist in the state needs more attention. I believe he can carve out a role as at least a third down pass rusher at the D3/NAIA level. Let him pin his earns back, use his speed/quickness, and that high motor that got him so many sacks this season.
@ANDREWJESKE7 finished second in the state in sacks and carried that dominance over to the @PrepRedzoneWI Showcase!

Mason McNeill Mason McNeill 6'2" | 290 lbs | OL Westosha Central | 2023 State WI , ’23 OL- Westosha Central
The strongest anchor of the day has to go to the 6’2″ 275 lbs junior, Mason McNeill Mason McNeill 6'2" | 290 lbs | OL Westosha Central | 2023 State WI . Throughout the entire battle portion of the camp I didn’t see a single defensive lineman be able to beat Mason with power. As soon as he landed his punch and dripped his hips there was no moving the big man. His ability to maintain a wide, strong base while also moving his feet so he could mirror his pass rusher shined in every rep. McNeill is perfectly built for the guard position at the next level where he can use that anchor to stop big interior linemen, and also walk them into the second level in the run game. This a junior that college coaches are going to want to have on their radars this summer. I was very impressed by his performance. It earned him one of the reps in the final call outs of the session.
Ive been very impressed with Westosha Central ‘23 OL @mmcneill50! Strong anchor been on display in the 1 on 1s pic.twitter.com/Hw11nsSNCi

Landon Hron Landon Hron 6'3" | 295 lbs | OL Hartford | 2023 State WI , ’23 OL- Hartford Union
An intriguing prospect from the OL group was 6’3″ 315 lbs junior Landon Hron Landon Hron 6'3" | 295 lbs | OL Hartford | 2023 State WI . Landon did a great job of taking all the coaching he received and turning it into instant results as the day went on. The big man had the heaviest hands of any lineman in attendance. Hands that allowed him to make an impactful initial punch and also hands that allowed him to control defensive linemen throughout the rep once he clamped on. Where he improved most was with his footwork. By the end of the day, he was doing a good job of making sure his feet were keeping up with what his top half was doing so he wouldn’t be caught reaching or holding. The college coaches working with him looked very impressed with his ability to quickly learn technique and implement it. His performance earned him a rep in the final call outs. He is the left guard in the video below.

Aiden Rossa Aiden Rossa 6'2" | 310 lbs | OL Waukesha South | 2022 WI , ’22 OL- Waukesha South
One of the most well rounded OL prospects in the group was the 6’2″ 305 lbs senior out of Waukesha South. Aiden did a very good job with his technique. He didn’t get caught reaching/overextending, instead his light feet allowed him to always put his upper body in position to maintain leverage, and keep himself between the QB and DL. Rossa also did an impressive job of feeling what the pass rusher was trying to do to him and used that to win the battle. That blend of size, athleticism, and ability to quickly diagnose what he is seeing/feeling has the next level excited. The senior has a couple of roster offers on the table, but needs more looks. Strong day for Aiden.
Greyden Rumohr Greyden Rumohr 6'5" | 285 lbs | OL Kettle Moraine | 2024 State WI , ’24 OL- Kettle Moraine
A prospect I am very interested in after his day is the Kettle Moraine sophomore. He was the team’s starting LT this season, and at 6’5″ 260 lbs the sophomore has a frame that is going to catch the eyes of a lot of coaches as he continues to fill out and add strength. Right now that frame is a lean 260 lbs, so there is no question he has the room to add the muscle and overall size needed for the next level. That frame also comes with light feet and long arms. Both of which he used well at LT in the battles. Greyden slides and changes directions well, and I don’t remember a matchup where he didn’t have the advantage of getting the first initial contact. The tools are there for the young lineman. He is definitely a prospect to keep your eyes on.
