Hudson is a long and athletic safety who takes strong routes to the ball and has great length ball skills to make pass breakups or INT’s once he gets there. Hudson excels in the role of a single high safety, which is where I project him at the next level. Hudson is currently under the radar, but I like him as a D1 FCS to Mid Major prospect.
2023 LB Wyatt Gedeon Wyatt Gedeon 6'2" | 230 lbs | LB St. Edward | 2023 State OH (Saint Ed’s) 6’1 225- Gedeon was flying around all game versus the Springfield Wildcats. He had 7 tackles 1.5 sacks and 2.5 TFL’s. Wyatt was strong at setting the edge and he ran plays down from the backside. He moves really well for a LB his size. I like him as a 4-3 Sam linebacker at the college level, but he could play the Mike as well. Gedeon has offers from the MAC as well as other D1 mid majors.
2023 CB Jermaine Mathews (Winton Woods) 6’0 180- Didn’t wrack up big stats in the championship game, but his presence was still felt, as he pretty much shut down his side of the field. Mathews is a long physical corner, who can excel in man or zone coverage. Mathews has blown up in the last couple weeks with many D1 P5 offers. I expect him to continue to blow up this offseason.
2024 CB Andrew Bruce Andrew Bruce 5'11" | 185 lbs | ATH Chardon | 2024 State OH (Chardon) 5’11 165- Bruce could have really gone either offensive (RB) or defense (CB), but I chose defense. Bruce has good size for a Sophomore corner. He has the athleticism and physicality of an older player. He’s a willing tackler who looks to blow up screens and outside runs but has the athleticism to turn and run with wide receivers. He’s just getting onto the recruiting scene, but I look for him to take off pretty quickly.
2023 ATH Braedyn Moore Braedyn Moore 6'2" | 180 lbs | ATH Hamilton Badin | 2023 State OH (Badin) 6’1 170- Like Bruce Moore could have really gone either offensive (WR) or defense (CB), but I chose defense. Moore is long and athletic, but as much as anything I love how aggressive and physical he is in the run game. While he has strong cover skills and can match up with most any wr in man v man, he also does a great job of taking on blockers and shedding to make the play in the run game. Moore is currently getting MAC interests, but I expect him to attract P5 interest this offseason.
