Continue ReadingThe amount of talent that remains uncommitted in the 2022 class is off the charts. With signing day approaching in a little over a month, these athletes will be interesting to follow to see if a commitment comes soon. Take a look at 10 uncommitted seniors that can make your program better:
Brayten Silbor Brayten Silbor 6'3" | 195 lbs | QB Chaparral | 2022 State AZ , QB, Chaparral: Silbor decommitted from New Mexico back in October, and had himself a very productive senior season throwing for 4,159 yards and 41 TD’s to lead Chap to a state championship appearance. He stands 6’3″ 205lbs and is one of the most pure pocket passers you’ll see around Arizona. He recently picked up an offer from San Diego, and holds 3 other offers as well.
Javen Jacobs Javen Jacobs 5'10" | 185 lbs | ATH Saguaro | 2022 State AZ , ATH, Saguaro: Jacobs solidified himself as one of the most explosive players in the state and can burn defenses from multiple dimensions as a ball carrier, receiver, or return specialist. Very dangerous with the ball in his hands given his COD, twitch and top end speed. He holds 10 offers as we creep closer to signing day, and reminds me a lot of former C/O ’12 Saguaro standout DJ Foster.
Daniel Santiago Daniel Santiago 6'2" | 295 lbs | DL Horizon | 2022 State AZ , DL, Horizon: Santiago is an absolute menace up front with excellent power to generate an effective bull rush. Strong at the POA with good athleticism and quickness within his 6’2″ 285lb frame, and is disruptive as a pass rusher with a big striking ability. He plays angry and intense while bringing the juice to that Horizon defense. He holds 7 offers (1 power 5 offer from Arizona) and will be a highly watched prospect for the next month.
Thomas DeChesaro Thomas DeChesaro 5'10" | 185 lbs | DB Saguaro | 2022 State AZ , DB, Saguaro: The most under-recruited player in the state in my opinion. Very instinctive with a high football IQ with the ability to provide excellent run support to close ground well and delivery a pop to ball carriers. Solid 1v1/open field tackler and is smart in coverage while flashing ball hawk ability. He’s fresh off a PWO from Iowa State, and is a definite division 1 talent.
Adryan Lara Adryan Lara 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB Desert Edge | 2022 State AZ , QB, Desert Edge: Lara shocked a ton of people across the state when he decommitted from Washington State earlier this month. The 4-year starter has thrown for 10,562 yards and 117 TD’s during his tenure at DEHS, and holds 5 total offers. Strong arm with the ability to throw with finesse, and can extend plays with his legs to either find receivers downfield or pick up solid yards on the ground.
Blaine Hipa Blaine Hipa 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Chandler | 2022 State AZ , QB, Chandler: Hipa was named the starter after he battled in a 3 man QB competition. He lead Chandler to a state championship appearance and threw for 2,915 yards and 30 TD’s. Good pocket mobility while going through progression and delivers with a quick and fluid release. He holds offers from Tennessee and Hawaii as we head closer to signing day.
Treyson Bourguet Treyson Bourguet 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB Salpointe Catholic | 2022 State AZ , QB, Salpointe Catholic: The dual threat QB threw for 2,110 yards and 30 TD’s while adding 615 yards and 10 TD’s on the ground. He possesses good ball security to limit turnovers and make solid decisions, and does a good job knowing when to use velocity vs touch. He’s fresh off an Ohio offer, and will be interesting to follow for the next month.
Alfred Smith Alfred Smith 5'11" | 165 lbs | DB Chandler | 2022 State AZ , DB, Chandler: Smith was a big stock riser throughout the summer and during the season. He recently picked up an offer from Texas Tech which was his first P5 offer, and holds others from Army, Navy, Benedictine, and Southwest Minnesota State. Good hips with nice closing and recovery speed, as he did a terrific job on an island at CB for Chandler.
Jax Stam Jax Stam 5'11" | 200 lbs | DB Liberty | 2022 State AZ , DB, Liberty: Possibly the biggest hitter and most feared player in the secondary here in Arizona. Stam comes downhill with a purpose and delivers with a big striking ability. Good football IQ and play rec and can roam the field and make plays sideline to sideline or be solid in coverage. He holds offers from New Mexico, Army, Georgetown, and UPenn.
Tre Tate Tre Tate 6'5" | 190 lbs | WR Hamilton | 2022 State AZ , DB, Hamilton: Tate has been a stud in that Hamilton secondary all year. He sizes up with excellent length in his 6’4″ 195lb frame with room to add mass. Lean and athletic kid with good range in the back half, and can also eat up ground and provide effective run support. He holds offers from Air Force, Weber State, Northern Arizona, and Colorado School of Mines.
