DB: Victor Okafor, 5’10”, 195, McEachern
A physical safety prospect with great closing speed. Okafor is comfortable playing on all three levels of the field and can add plenty of value as a blitzer. He plays relentless and has shown a knack for forcing fumbles. He easily works through receivers blocks on the perimeter and shows no issues tackling in space. To me, he projects as a nickel at the next level.
OLB: Riley Slaughter, 6’1″, 200, Roswell
A talented pass rusher who gives tackles fits with his quickness. Slaughter’s burst and acceleration help him chase plays down from the backside with ease. He’ll swat the football away from quarterbacks in pass-rushing situations if given the chance and can set the edge on run downs. To me, he’s probably an ideal fit as a 3-4 outside linebacker at the next level.
LB: Jay Carter, 6′, 215, Warner Robbins
A tough inside linebacker that looks to deliver the boom on opposing ball carriers. Carter speeds his feet on contact and is a nasty finisher as a blitzer. He plays with good overall knee bend, reads his keys like a book, and displayed a quick trigger on run plays.
LB: Devonte Amasiani, 5’11”, 195, Carver
An instinctive inside linebacker with good ball skills. This young man is a thumper whose hits force ball carriers to jolt backwards. He’s efficient at fighting off blocks at the second level, using firm hands and god-given play strength. If unblocked, he becomes an absolute menace who can create serious havoc in opposing backfields.
OLB: Trenton Hayberg, 5’11”, 195, Harrison
A twitchy kid who can close ground when blitzing in an instant. He runs through opposing quarterbacks and truly plays behind his shoulder pads. Hayberg was a TFL machine in 2021 and proved to be a natural when asked to drop in zone coverage. He’s steady in man coverage, using a heavy jam, precise eyes, and calm footwork.
LB: Rich Dorsey, 5’10”, 205, Collins Hill
Dorsey is a sure tackler and a natural sideline to sideline runner. He utilizes the gator roll tackle when out leveraged and will shimmy & come to balance when tracking ball carriers in space. When the ball is given, he’ll scrape down the line from the backside and make up for missed tackles. He can flat-out run, too, and has shown the speed to chase down opposing quarterbacks who broke contain.
