Now we look at the remaining three, all of whom put together sensational campaigns, justifying their spots on this list. Each of the three were critical components of successful teams. All three were leaders on the back end of their defenses.
Rashon Myles Rashon Myles 6'2" | 200 lbs | DB Brownsburg | 2022 State IN , 6’2, 200 pounds, Brownsburg, Defensive Back
Rashon Myles Rashon Myles 6'2" | 200 lbs | DB Brownsburg | 2022 State IN is heading to Northern Illinois to play his college football after a career of locking down the back end of the Brownsburg defense. Myles has the ability to play both free and strong safety and he is an electric return man. At safety, Myles is outstanding at coming down and playing the run. He does well to diagnose the play and finish it. Myles is a great tackler who can be counted on to bring the play to an end. When returning kickoffs and punts, Myles is incredibly fun to watch. He has great vision. Once he sees the opening, he explodes through the hole and takes off. Rashon Myles Rashon Myles 6'2" | 200 lbs | DB Brownsburg | 2022 State IN is a playmaker who can completely change the game. Myles was a contributor on offense, racking-up 134 rushing yards and six touchdowns. Defensively, Myles accounted for an impressive tally of 59 solo tackles and two passes defensed. In the return-game, he was lightning in a bottle. Myles posted 315 kickoff return yards with an average of just over 24 yards per kickoff return. Myles was dynamic returning punts as well, gaining 163 yards with an average of over 16 yards per punt return.
Jake Pasch, 6’0, 185 pounds, Indianapolis Lutheran, Senior
Jake Pasch was a leader on the Indianapolis Lutheran defense as they went all the way to win a state championship. Pasch excelled on both sides of the ball, serving as a great receiving threat as well. Defensively, Pasch can come down and was a force around the line-of-scrimmage. He posted 149 total tackles with 13 tackles-for-loss and one sack. He has the ability to make quarterbacks think twice before throwing in his direction. Pasch grabbed a pair of interceptions, and he also forced two fumbles and recovered one loose ball. Offensively, he was a viable option in the passing-game all year. He caught 14 passes for 211 yards and four touchdown receptions. Pasch provides a significant presence on special teams. He gained almost 300 yards with an average of over 33 yards on kickoff returns. Pasch is impactful when covering kickoffs as well. He sprints down the field- not giving blockers a chance to get set-up- and then he makes the play.
Javon Tracy Javon Tracy 6'0" | 180 lbs | WR Decatur Central | 2022 State IN , 6’0, 180 pounds, Decatur Central, Senior
Like Myles, Javon Tracy Javon Tracy 6'0" | 180 lbs | WR Decatur Central | 2022 State IN is also on his way to the Mid-American Conference where he will suit up for the Miami (OH) RedHawks. Tracy is a do-everything type of player. Offensively, he has experience playing quarterback, throwing 53 passes. Of those 53, he completed 20 for 360 yards and five touchdowns. On the ground, Tracy surpassed the 1,000-yard threshold on 106 carries, finishing the season with an average of 9.9 yards per rush. Tracy was a threat as a receiver as well. He caught 11 passes, gaining 203 yards and a pair of touchdowns. His playmaking ability was just as apparent on the defensive side of the ball. Tracy came up with 50 tackles with two tackles-for-loss. He also picked off four passes- two of which were returned for touchdowns- and he forced one fumble. Continuing with the trend, Tracy was impactful on special teams. He punted 17 times and he also returned one punt for a touchdown.
