Like yesterday, these four linebackers can be the centerpiece of the defense. They check all of the boxes necessary to be elite linebackers. These four reliable prospects can be leaders of the defense for years to come.
Domanick Moon Domanick Moon 6'2" | 215 lbs | LB R Nelson Snider | 2022 State IN , 6’2, 215 pounds, R. Nelson Snider, Senior
Domanick Moon Domanick Moon 6'2" | 215 lbs | LB R Nelson Snider | 2022 State IN was the heart and soul of the Snider defense all season. Moon has the ability to play both middle and outside linebacker, allowing him to excel in different packages. He does a great job of keeping his shoulders square to the line-of-scrimmage on run plays. Moon has good vision and awareness. He does a great job of seeing the gap opening, putting his foot in the ground and then shooting the gap to make the play. Moon displays an outstanding feel for the game. He has great instincts, and he covers a lot of ground. On top of that, Moon is a great tackler. Moon compiled 86 tackles with one sack. He came up with one interception, and he forced and recovered one fumble.

Dillon Moore Dillon Moore 6'2" | 205 lbs | ATH Ben Davis | 2022 State IN made a significant impact both offensively and defensively for the Ben Davis Giants. At linebacker, Moore is an instinctive player who sees what is unfolding and then drives to make the play. Moore is a fantastic playmaker at linebacker. He can get after the quarterback, and he has the ability to generate turnovers. On the offensive side of the ball, Moore is a terrific receiver. He runs his routes very well and finds ways to get open to help the quarterback. At wide receiver, Moore caught 49 passes for 625 yards and six touchdowns. He added one rushing touchdown. Defensively, Moore came up with 73 tackles with four tackles-for-loss. He had one-and-a-half sacks with three quarterback hurries. Crucially, Moore pulled-in five interceptions.
Jeffrey Utzinger Jeffrey Utzinger 6'2" | 215 lbs | LB Cathedral | 2022 State IN , 6’2, 215 pounds, Indianapolis Cathedral, Senior
At the heart of a star-studded Cathedral defense that captured a state title was Jeffrey Utzinger Jeffrey Utzinger 6'2" | 215 lbs | LB Cathedral | 2022 State IN . At outside linebacker, Utzinger flies around the field. He pursues very well and is terrific at defending the run. Utzinger is a sound tackler who can always finish the play. He has a nose for the football. Throughout the season, Utzinger came up with turnovers that were massive momentum boosts for the Fighting Irish. Utzinger had 72 tackles, 49 of which were solo. He posted nine tackles-for-loss. Utzinger had one-and-a-half sacks with three huge interceptions. Utzinger also gave his team a significant special teams presence, blocking two punts.
Romaro Warren Romaro Warren 6'1" | 225 lbs | LB Lawrence North | 2022 State IN , 6’1, 225 pounds, Lawrence North, Senior
Romaro Warren Romaro Warren 6'1" | 225 lbs | LB Lawrence North | 2022 State IN was a leader at middle linebacker for the Lawrence North defense. Warren gets himself in great positions. He keeps his shoulders square to the line and moves well laterally. He is a great run defender, thanks, in larger part, to the fact that he takes great angles. Warren was a backfield menace all year. He had 17 tackles-for-loss with eight sacks. As astounding as those numbers are, his 28 quarterback hurries demonstrate the consistency that he brought to the Lawrence North defense. He had 153 total tackles and 71 solo stops. Warren blocked four punts and two field goals. Warren also had one rushing touchdown in his senior season.
