The Prep Redzone Missouri Class of 2024 football prospect rankings have been updated. Today we are going to take a look at some new names who have emerged since the last rankings update a few months ago.

We always strive to make these rankings as thorough and comprehensive as possible here at Prep Redzone and our last rankings update, before the start of the 2021 high school season, featured several hundred prospects in the Class of 2024. But in the months since those were released we have seen several intriguing prospects emerge.
Here is a look at some prospects who are making their debuts in the rankings:
OL [player_tooltip player_id="218447" first="Andrew" last="Sprague"] Rockhurst
Sprague, who stands a towering 6-feet-8 and has been listed at 260 pounds, makes his debut in the Missouri Class of 2024 rankings at No. 8 overall and as the second-best offensive line prospect.
Yes, he's also a basketball player. No, he doesn't really look like he weighs 260 pounds.
But in a 2024 group that is heavy with big guys along the offensive line, Sprague is one of the few who looks like a legitimate offensive tackle — and a left tackle, no less — at the next level.
Sprague received his first scholarship offer from the University of Kansas in early November. It won't be his last.

ATH [player_tooltip player_id="203583" first="John" last="Price"] Lincoln College Prep
A 6-1, 195-pounder, Price could have made the rankings as a running back or a linebacker following his standout sophomore campaign, so we decided to call list him as an athlete. He enters the rankings at No. 14 overall and as the second-highest ranked athlete.
Price was an impact player on both sides of the ball for Lincoln College Prep this past season. He ran for 1,098 yards and 17 touchdowns and added 54 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, four pass break-ups, a forced fumble, and an interception.
Price, who also plays basketball, will be a player to watch this offseason as he hits the camp circuit.

OL [player_tooltip player_id="254477" first="Brody" last="Smith"] Jefferson City
A 6-5, 265-pounder, Smith checks in as the No. 21 overall prospect after a sophomore season that saw him earn third-team all-state honors in Class 4.
Smith is a physical two-way lineman who plays left guard on offense and lines up inside or outside on defense. His strength and physicality shows up on his sophomore season film whether he's on offense or defense and it wouldn't surprise us if he ends up playing defense in college.

LB [player_tooltip player_id="254474" first="Keylan" last="Mitchell"] Parkway North
Mitchell, a physical 6-3, 250-pounder, enters the rankings at No. 28 overall after a successful sophomore season for a Parkway North squad that went 8-4 after going 2-3 a year earlier and 3-7 the season before that.
The jumbo sophomore linebacker was one of the driving forces for the Vikings' turnaround as he racked up 105 tackles, three sacks, two fumble recoveries and one interception. He earned third-team all-state honors in Class 4.

WR [player_tooltip player_id="240310" first="Freddie" last="Lavan"] Liberty North
Lavan, a 6-1, 180-pounder, enters the rankings at No. 30 overall and the No. 3 wide receiver following a strong sophomore season, but we wouldn't be surprised if he's much higher on the list a year from now after another season with talented quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="172248" first="Sam" last="Van Dyne"] throwing him the ball.
Lavan's sophomore stats weren't eye-popping — he caught 25 passes for 481 yards and five touchdowns and added a rushing score — but he was a sophomore contributing on a loaded Liberty North squad that advanced to the Class 6 championship game.
Lavan came up big in the title game loss to CBC, catching three passes for 76 yards and a touchdown on a day when neither team put up big numbers in the passing game.

WR [player_tooltip player_id="275125" first="Mike" last="Lane"] Winnetonka
Lane, a 6-2, 160-pounder, checks in one spot behind Lavan at No. 31 overall and as the fourth-best wide receiver following a strong sophomore season playing alongside one of the state's top wide receivers in Iowa State signee [player_tooltip player_id="96167" first="Jason" last="Essex"].
Lane showed his explosiveness with 39 receptions for 755 yards, averaging 19.4 yards per catch, and eight touchdowns. He also recorded three interceptions while playing safety.

ATH [player_tooltip player_id="203617" first="Ethan" last="Venable"] Oakville
Venable, a 6-2, 220-pounder, is an intriguing athlete who could end up playing running back, fullback, defensive end or linebacker in college – or he could get a college scholarship as a wrestler, lacrosse player or rugby player.
Venable's unique skill set, and versatile athletic background, helps his projection on our list as he enters the rankings at No. 35 overall and as the No. 5 athlete.
Venable had a successful sophomore campaign as he recorded a team-high 847 total yards (766 rushing, 81 receiving), scored five touchdowns and racked up 25 tackles and one sack.
