On a chilly and windy Sunday afternoon in Broken Arrow, Prep Redzone Oklahoma hosted the “Stock Up Showcase” and had some of the best high school football players in the state attending. We even saw a few names from out of state come and perform. In this post, we take a look at some names on the defensive side of the ball that we didn’t know much about coming into the weekend. And after watching them perform, these guys have to be considered some of the top stock risers from the showcase event. Overall, the offensive side of the ball had many more campers. You can check out the stock risers on that side RIGHT HERE. You can also check out our MVPs at each position RIGHT HERE.

– 2023 Defensive Back – Sallisaw
When it comes to the 2023 class in Oklahoma, we’re very excited about the depth in the state, especially on the defensive side of the ball. One prospect who is for sure going to be in the next ranking update is Sallisaw defensive back

. We didn’t know much about him until last month when we saw him participate in the Sooner 7 tryout. He was a lockdown corner that day and that kind of play continued on Sunday. The defensive back position was very light as the wide receivers outnumbered the DBs 4 to 1. One thing that meant was the DBs were going to be very busy on Sunday. Kilpatrick got plenty of reps during the camp and he continued to show that he’s a very underrated defensive back. However, we’ll make the argument that now that he’s on our radar, he shouldn’t be underrated moving forward.

– 2023 Linebacker – Edmond Memorial
Similar to the defensive backs, the linebacker group was very light on Sunday as the majority of prospects were on the offensive side of the ball or on the defensive line. However, the linebackers put in work and we had some guys really stand out on that side of the ball, especially in the 2023 class. Edmond Memorial’s

in terms of being the best of the best at that position. We knew about Mullins coming into the 2021 season and he had a really good year for an Edmond Memorial team that didn’t get much attention. But with so much young talent, this is a Bulldog team that has a very bright future. Mullins was all over the field on Sunday and I like the combination of size and speed. Throw some pads on Mullins and that’s a bad man at linebacker.

– 2022 Defensive Lineman – Norman

came to our camp back in June and was one of the top defensive lineman prospects there. Mason returned on Sunday and was part of a smaller group of 2022 prospects who came out to the camp. For the second straight year, Mason was one of the top performers at the defensive line position. Mason was the energizer bunny of the camp as he was one of the first prospects to show up and immediately started putting in work. Mason got so many reps during the 1 on 1 session that he decided to switch to offense and try his luck on the other side of the line of scrimmage. But his future is on defense as he used lightning quick moves to get by opposing offensive linemen.
