On a chilly and windy Sunday afternoon in Broken Arrow, Prep Redzone Oklahoma hosted the “Stock Up Showcase” and had some of the best high school football players in the state attending. We even saw a few names from out of state come and perform. In this post, we take a look at the absolute best of the best and pick an MVP for each position group. Unlike plenty of other camps, that pick awards like this based on recruiting and before the camp even happens, we made these picks strictly on the work done on Sunday. After seeing the athletes in action for three hours and talking with each position coach, these players were the best of the best.

was one of the better quarterbacks in the state’s 2025 class, and there’s quite a few that have already made big names for themselves. However, after getting a chance to watch McComb again in person on Sunday, we’re starting to think that he might be the early pick for the #1 overall prospect in the state’s 2025 class. Every throw McComb made was on a rope and accurate. He was making passes at every level of the field and at every stage, he made it look easy. On a very windy day, the quarterbacks didn’t have the best weather conditions but you couldn’t tell when watching McComb. He looks the part, he plays the part, he should have a great offseason and be one of the top 2025 quarterback prospects in this part of the country.

came to the camp as a walk up registration and absolutely showed out. Coming into the weekend, we knew the running back position would be very deep and talented and it as McKinney, who we didn’t know would be there that shined the brightest. It started with the combine testing as he ran a blazing 40 yard dash, showcasing what makes him incredibly special and that’s speed. Then in individual drills and 1 on 1 competition, McKinney routinely made big plays and ended up being one of the best overall players from the camp, regardless of position. after watching him throughout the previous offseason when he played for Sooner 7. On Sunday, we were reminded why we like the Verdigris receiver so much and it’s pretty simple when it comes to wide receivers. He catches everything. Person is a prototypical slot receiver and can be overlooked because of his size but his routes are crisp and his hands are some of the best and more importantly they’re consistent. In 1 on 1’s, Person wasn’t a guy that would just torch a DB deep unless it was on a crossing route over the middle. But more times than not when it was a jump ball situation and Person needed to beat his man to come up with the ball, he did just that. He had another great showing on Sunday.

. He just looks the part physically and certainly passes the eye test. Standing 6’5 and trimmed up, Wermy has quickness and explosiveness in his hands. Anytime it was Wermy’s turn in 1 on 1’s, he was dominating his opponent and not letting them go anywhere. In these camp settings without pads, it’s always hard to really evaluate the offensive and defensive line. But that’s especially true for the offensive linemen. But it’s easy to see that Wermy can be one of the more dominant linemen in the 2023 class. He’s currently rated as such and stood out in the group again on Sunday. We had a great group at OL this week but the Cache product was special from start to finish.

was in attendance and focused on showing why he’s one of the best defensive linemen in the state of Oklahoma today. Physically, Jordan isn’t going to blow anyone away with the measurables but then you watch him go to work against offensive linemen and it’s borderline unfair. The offensive lineman in these drills always makes the first move and yet despite that, Jordan routinely had the advantage immediately thanks to a quick and devastating first step. He’s reminding us more and more of former Vian standout Solomon Wright, who’s now at Arkansas and was a borderline top ten prospect his senior year. Jordan has the chance to be that for Beggs next season.

made his second trip up to the Tulsa area to camp with us and this time around, he was there to show what he could do on the defensive side of the ball. Campbell is a two-way star for McLoud at running back and linebacker. But it appears that when it comes to the next level, Campbell might be better off on the defensive side of the ball and he showed why during 1 on 1 drills and the camp overall. First off, Campbell appeared to have gotten a bit bigger but that didn’t slow him down in the testing portion as he ran some impressive times. Then when it came down to locking up running backs in 1 on 1’s, Campbell was ready and ended up being one of the better performers on the defensive side of the ball. This McLoud product is getting better and better as he gets more comfortable with the linebacker position.
DEFENSIVE BACK MVP

Before we get into it, we want to make a PSA real quick. Defensive backs! Come to our camps! You will get all the reps you want! The DB position was the lowest in terms of numbers on Sunday and were certainly outnumbered by wide receivers. However, at the end of the day, it was the young sophomore from Elmore City once again showing why he’s one of the best in the state’s 2024 class.

is getting better and better every time we see him. He appeared to have gotten a little bigger compared to when he saw him last June and those lockdown corner skills were still there and on full display. It came down to Patterson and Ce’Alm Kirkpatrick from Sallisaw for the MVP at DB and the Elmore City product got the edge. Both had fantastic camps.
