Except this time, we switch our focus to the offensive side of the ball, and there sure is an abundant amount of talent to go around. With a surplus of names to choose from, the electrifying playmakers fortunate enough to be on this list are looking to officially put their name on the map roughly seven months from now. From rocket arms and pinpoint signal callers to swift footed pass catchers who are used to making the crowd erupt, you cannot go wrong with any of the best offensive players in the class of 2023.
QB Brayden Dorman Brayden Dorman 6'5" | 200 lbs | QB Vista Ridge | 2023 State CO 6’5″ 200 Vista Ridge
2023 Ranking: #1 QB, #2 Overall
2021 Stats: 206/340, 2,756 Yards, 30 TD’s, 8 INT’s
Dorman is the real deal. Hovering at 6’5″, Dorman possesses the prototypical height and measurements to take his game to the next level. The #1 QB in the state excels at throwing into tight windows when under duress, something that usually makes quarterbacks stand out from the rest. Not to mention, Dorman has athletic ability that is coupled with outstanding footwork in the pocket, giving him an increased chance to make any throw because of that firm base. It is difficult to nitpick Dorman’s whole game, and don’t be surprised if he makes big statistical strides from an absurdly good stat line from a season ago.
QB Tyler Kubat Tyler Kubat 6'5" | 200 lbs | QB Fossil Ridge | 2023 State CO 6’5″ 195 Fossil Ridge
2023 Rankings: #3 QB, #27 Overall
2021 Stats: 212/369, 3,116 Yards, 27 TD’s, 11 INT’s
Coming onto this list as the #3 rated QB and #27 overall, the captain of the Fossil Ridge offense led all junior quarterbacks with 3,116 yards just a few short months ago. Like his fellow signal caller already listed above, Kubat uses his height to his advantage, as he rarely sees his balls batted down at the line of scrimmage. Additionally, this advantage gives him all-access to seeing his receiver’s routes develop right in front of his eyes, making it much simpler to hit his wideouts in stride for big time gains. Kubat has always possessed a cannon for an arm, and if he can continue to work on his touch and accuracy, he will be able to take that next step in his game heading into his fourth and final campaign.
OL Joshua Bates Joshua Bates 6'3" | 280 lbs | OL Durango | 2023 State CO 6’3″ 280 Durango
2023 Rankings: #1 OL, #3 Overall
An absolute behemoth and an anchor on the Durango offensive line, it would be criminal to leave Bates off this list. At times, offensive lineman are out-flashed by the more finesse positions on offense, but don’t think for one second that such a dominant hog molly can’t take over a game. In fact, a prospect of Bates’ skill can single handily take over games with their sheer will to open up holes in the running game and shut down a whole side of a defensive pass rush. It’s a no brainer that Bates is rated as high as he is. The three-star big fella has already committed to the University of Oklahoma to play ball a couple falls from now, but until then, opposing defensive lineman will be shaking in their boots when lining up across from him. After helping Durango rush for more than 3,000 yards on the season, don’t count out the Demons to break that mark with Bates leading the way.

WR Ismael Cisse Ismael Cisse 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR Cherry Creek | 2023 State CO 6’0″ 175 Cherry Creek
2023 Rankings: #1 WR, #5 Overall
2021 Stats: 39 REC, 652 Yards, 16.7 AVG, 6 TD’s
One of the more exciting prospects on the Bruins roster in 2022, Cisse is a matchup nightmare. All bets aside, there will be a numerous amount of defensive coordinators who will go gray and might even have to apply for senior citizen benefits when it is all said and done after getting a taste of the speed demon. All jokes aside, Cisse deserves more recognition heading into the new year. Between himself and partner in crime Ky Oday Ky Oday 5'10" | WR Cherry Creek | 2022 State CO , the Bruins formed a formidable pair in the passing attack. With Oday gone due to graduation and Cisse left to pick up the scraps, it is now his receiving group to reign supreme. With skills that can’t be taught, the #1 Bruins wideout has incredible raw talent, and expect him to improve even more so from 2021. With his smooth route running and strong hands resulting in few drops, Cisse has made a name for himself. Can he hold onto his top rated ranking by next season’s end?
WR Rashad Caldwell Rashad Caldwell 6'0" | 180 lbs | WR Denver South | 2023 State CO 6’0″ 178 Denver South
2023 Rankings: #2, #13 Overall
2021 Stats: 59 REC, 1,193 Yards, 15 TD’s
Bursting onto the scene as a junior, Rashad Caldwell Rashad Caldwell 6'0" | 180 lbs | WR Denver South | 2023 State CO has officially raised the bar to the highest degree. Few third year receivers produced better stats than Caldwell, who managed to put Colorado high school football on notice with his stellar play from a year ago. Leading his class in receiving yards, Caldwell is a competitor through and through, which has boosted him to the #2 ranked WR spot in the 2023 class rankings. With a knack for finding the soft spots in defenses while also stretching the field with his outrageous 20.2 YPC, Caldwell is a do it all type of talent. It will be challenging to repeat such fantastic numbers in 2022, but don’t put it past the gifted pass catcher, especially with fellow highly touted returning quarterback Joseph Capra Joseph Capra 6'1" | 165 lbs | QB Denver South | 2023 State CO in the fold.
