The athletes, in the classes of 2026, 2027 and 2028 were put through combine testing in addition to competing in one-on-one drills. There were a number of media outlets there, in addition to some very talented coaches from throughout southern New Jersey.
Here’s a look at part 1 of the 2026 standouts.
Brennen Pressley Brennen Pressley 5'10" | 190 lbs | LB Iona Prep | 2026 State NY | New York | Linebacker | 2026
My first time seeing Pressley live since July and it didn’t take very long for me to realize he’s still a stud. Stretched out a little bit and now stands about 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds. Reads and reacts extremely quick. An athletic and violent athlete that pursues and closes to the football with effort. Explosiveness off the ball and as he closes to his target. Moves well enough to play strong safety if situation called for it.
Louie Amiano Louie Amiano 5'11" | LB SMLS | 2026 State NJ | New Jersey | Linebacker | 2026
Watching his game film and clips of him working out don’t really do it justice–he’s a powerhouse. Very thick in the hips and hamstrings which allow him to bring a lot of power at the point of contact. Obviously spends a lot of time in the weight room and is extremely solid. No doubt one of the top 2026 linebackers in New Jersey, he’s announced he’ll be attending St. Joe’s in Philadelphia for high school.
Donovan Linthicum Donovan Linthicum 5'11" | 205 lbs | LB Oakcrest | 2026 State NJ | New Jersey | Linebacker | 2026
A very athletic linebacker, I was pleasantly surprised at just how well Linthicum moved in drills. He’s a lean 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds with good mobility. Not overly long but has a frame to add mass in high school. He projects more as a traditional outside backer who can blitz off the edge if asked to. His size will dictate an off-ball role as he continues to progress, but flashes impressive ability off the edge.
Kani Golden | New Jersey | Linebacker | 2026
I could tell he could go by just watching him bounce around in warmups. Very agile kid who looks like he could play a number of different positions on the field, will just depend on how he continues to grow and develop. Good power and flexibility in his hips. Didn’t realize how powerful until after I searched him on social media and found clips of him doing 54-inch box jumps.
Alex Haskell Alex Haskell 6'4" | 240 lbs | OL PA | New Jersey | Defensive Line | 2026
Big time frame and potential with Haskell. Standing next to him, he is certainly every bit of 6-foot-4 and 245 pounds. Long arms and legs are going to make him a very recruitable kid in a few years. Physically strong and well put together. His father does MMA, so good athletic bloodlines. Continued work on flexibility and overall body coordination will only make him better.
KaRon Ali KaRon Ali 5'10" | 165 lbs | ATH Pennsauken | 2026 State NJ | New Jersey | Athlete | 2026
Ali was the top eighth grader I saw participate at the Showcase. The younger brother of Khalil Ali, a four-star recruiting with 21 offers (and counting) in the 2023 class. KaRon was clocked at a 4.6 in the forty yard dash, which was the fastest time by a considerable margin. Kid can play running back, slot or corner. He is going to be a highly recruited prospect and, if things go right, could be the top player in the state when it’s all said and done for the class of 2026.
Aamir Dunbar | New Jersey | Athlete | 2026
Impressive athlete that wasn’t on my radar before the event but certainly caught my attention. He moved exceptionally well and was timed at a 7.29 in the three cone drill. Very good build on him for this stage of the game as well. Plays nearly all of the skill positions if needed. I like him on the defensive side of the ball because of the quickness and physicality he plays with. Told me he’ll be at St. Augustine next year as he begins high school.
