After he tweeted the thought at us, I couldn’t help but fantasize about what these teams could look like, so I’ve decided to put my thoughts of these teams down on paper. These teams may resemble the rankings, but with some minor changes based on my opinion on what I think the teams could look like in both States. This is not a knock on any players, just a group of players I would like to see play on the field together at the same time for bragging rights of the better Dakota. Here are my picks for North Dakota’s offense,
QB- Jayden Speraw, Minot: I like his mobility, keeping his eyes downfield when scrambling, and finding the open guy ASAP to get the ball out quickly.
RB- Peyton Arndt Peyton Arndt RB Bismarck Century | 2023 State , Bismarck Century: I like his physicality when running the ball, ability to run through arm tackles and accelerating quickly for a long run.
RB- Carl Henry Carl Henry 5'11" | 190 lbs | RB Bismarck Legacy | 2023 State , Bismarck Legacy: He has the speed and can break tackles, also can use his agility with his vision for a big play.
WR- Oliver Lucht Oliver Lucht 6'1" | 200 lbs | WR Fargo Davies | 2023 State , Fargo Davies: I like his route running for both speed and possession, I also like his catching ability in traffic and his grit to gain as many yards as possible on each play.
WR- Payton Bodine Payton Bodine 6'1" | 195 lbs | WR Velva | 2023 State , Velva: I like his route running to find the space in the defense and making himself a big target for his QB. He also catches well in traffc.
TE- Logan Arason Logan Arason 6'3" | 245 lbs | TE GF Red River | 2023 State , Grand Forks Red River: I picked him at TE for his blocking ability to help spark the run game, then his ability to release on routes and become a bigger threat in the pass game.
For all the Offensive Lineman, I picked each of them because of their frames, first steps off the snap, pad level and drive until the whistle.
OL- Joel Edland Joel Edland 6'5" | 270 lbs | OL Bismarck Century | 2023 State , Bismarck Century
OL- Santiago Galvan Santiago Galvan 5'10" | 230 lbs | OL Grafton | 2023 State , Grafton
OL- Gabe Lakoduk Gabe Lakoduk 5'11" | 255 lbs | OL Velva | 2023 State , Velva
OL- Jack Packer, Kindred
OL- John O’Neill, Fargo Davies
