The former Warren (Downey) quarterback had 23 other offers including Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State, UCLA and USC among others.
According to 247Sports, Iamaleava is the first five star quarterback to commit to Tennessee since 2002. He is the third ranked quarterback in the nation behind Arch Manning and Malachi Nelson Malachi Nelson 6'3" | 195 lbs | QB Los Alamitos | 2023 State CA .
He told Greg Biggins of 247Sports that he loves the town of Knoxville and the hospitality he and his family received on his visit.
Iamaleava is a really good athlete with a cannon of an arm. He knows when to put touch on the ball and when to fire it in there. He has NFL potential and Tennessee has climbed up the recruiting rankings since his commitment.

Two talented Inglewood class of 2023 skill players announced their commitments last week.
6-foot-3, 215-pound receiver and defensive back Khalil Peart Khalil Peart 6'3" | 220 lbs | DB Inglewood | 2023 State CA announced his commitment to San Jose State. Peart transferred to Inglewood from Sierra Canyon where he had 42 tackles, a sack and an interception last season.
Peart is a safety who can sometimes come up and play in the box against certain personnel packages. He is good at flying up to stop the outside run and he is a very good cover 2 safety.
Cornerback Jaden DaCosta Jaden DaCosta 6'1" | 185 lbs | DB Inglewood | 2023 State CA announced his commitment to Nevada on Monday. DaCosta transferred to Inglewood from Simi Valley. He had 44 tackles and three interceptions for Simi Valley last season.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound defensive back also had offers from Colorado State and Louisville.

San Juan Hills class of 2025 quarterback Michael Tollefson Michael Tollefson 6'1" | 195 lbs | QB Tustin | 2025 State CA picked up an offer from Michigan State on Thursday.
Tollefson completed 60 percent of his passes for 1,307 yards and 14 touchdowns with just three interceptions as a freshman last season.
He is 6-foot-1, 175 pounds and one of the quarterbacks for the OC Elite 7on7 team.
Tollefson now has six offers: Arizona, Florida State, Michigan State, Nevada, Oregon and San Jose State.
Tonight, San Juan Hills turns the starting QB position over to freshman Michael “Butter” Tollefson.
In limited action over 3 games, @m_tollefson2025 completed 8 of 18 for 75 yards, 2 TDs.

Rancho Cucamonga class of 2023 quarterback CJ Tiller CJ Tiller 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Rancho Cucamonga | 2023 State CA announced his commitment to Boise State last Friday.
Tiller transferred to Rancho Cucamonga from Williams Field High in Arizona. He threw for 828 yards and 11 touchdowns in three playoff games last season.
Prep Redzone Arizona scout Nick Rock said of Tiller, “Poised in the pocket and showed the ability to throw with touch and finesse. Solid arm strength to stretch the field vertically.”
Tiller chose Boise State over Northern Arizona, San Diego State, San Jose State and Utah State.
