All Ohio Showcase
Cincinnati, Ohio
The All Ohio Showcase in Cincinnati had a good turnout of over 120 prospects who camped out to showcase their skills. Many younger college prospects showed up on April 1st to compete at Winton Woods high school while making this their first camp of the year. The chilly weather has been a theme throughout the showcase, but the talent is what we came to see and how well athletes can perform in late-season weather. Let’s get into the offensive MVPs, shall we?
Notes:
Since the end of the 2021 football season, Bryce has been trending upwards, and the trend has not broken. Throwing for over 3,000 yards and putting up 57 touchdowns on the board for his team last fall, those numbers are accurate! Schondelmyer has improved his throwing motion and is getting more heat on the ball as it leaves his hand; the accuracy is there. Bryce decided to put on a show at the showcase in position drills and the competition period. College QB is in his future and has the toolbox to be successful; Bryce will be attending Springfield hs this fall for his senior year, so we will get a chance to see how the division 1 state runner ups fair with a new QB in town.
2023
RB – MVP
Notes:
The skillful running back from Winton Woods put on a show last season as the Warriors won the Division two state championship. When you watch the film on Minor, you get to see an explosive back who has the speed to beat you to the edge or can squirt one out in between the tackles. James did a great job in drill work showing off his excellent footwork and quickness as he is a natural competitor. During the linebacker vs. running back period, James dominated, showing off his hands and route-running ability along with the ability to put defenders in the proverbial “blender.” The stronger Minor gets, the better it will be for him and his team this fall as they will take each week on with a target on their back.
2023
WR – MVP
Notes:
The agility stations at the All Ohio Showcase are a gauntlet to see who has been working out / in shape and who has the stamina to finish drills intense from start to finish. When you see a 6’4 WR walk into the camp, you expect to see some good gameplay from him, and in Love, we did. Love has good COD (Change of Direction) ability and can leave many defenders chasing him in the one v one drill. The size stands out, but everything in between made this prospect jump off the board for all watching. Route running was smooth, and he knew when to use his feet fluidly to make sudden changes. Moeller football will be counting on Josiah to be a standout this fall as he has the potential to be a D1 recruit.
Mysta Moore
2023
OL – MVP
Notes:
The 6’4 300lb prospect out of Cincinnati Taft high school made a huge impression at the showcase for everyone in attendance to see. When you pop on the tape from last season, it’s evident that Mysta wants to finish blocks and plays the game with a chip on his shoulder. Athleticism with his size is why Moore holds multiple division one scholarship offers so far this off-season. Lateral quickness was something that will also help give Moore an edge in recruiting and on the field this summer and fall. This impressive 2023 has a chance to be very special his senior year, and he could see P5 offers as soon as the camp season starts.
