Carson Williams | CB | 5’11″ | 150lbs | Cypress Creek |
2021 stats: 3 int 1PBU 1 FR
Carson Williams plays off man coverage better than anybody I’ve scouted up to this point after watching his sophomore season. He has good movement and body control when flipping his hips and running with recievers on the outside. Williams is a competitor when the football is out, driving on the ball when jumping routes. Carson Williams is not a corner you want to test 1 on 1.
Ryan Ventura | FS | 5’9″ | 170lbs| Keller |
2021 stats: 3 int 4 PBU 74 total tackles
Ventura is an interestingly valuable prospect at safety. One play he will be single high playing center field (FS) and the next he will be down in the box helping out to stop the run (SS) or even disrupting the play rushing off the edge! Ventura is an athlete that you can use in different roles and still bring production. He is physical tackler, Ventura brings aggression to the football field and enjoys the contact.
David Moore | Nickle/CB | 5’11″ | 165lbs | Brewer |
2021 stats: 2 int 7 PBU
Moore is an aggressive press man corner from the nickle position. Man coverage from the nickle is harder to play than zone-nickle due to having to cover your man sideline to sideline and the receiver having more space to work with from the slot. I enjoy watching him play, Moore is very physical throughout the route and is that same way at the catch point, either he is going to get the ball or nobody is. Also having the versatility to play outside corner mostly in cover 3, taking away his side of the field.
Taiwo Atunrase | CB | 6’2″ | 185lbs | Cole |
2022 stats: 54 tackles 2 TFL 1 int 10 PBU 1 FF
Atunrase is a physical corner that enjoys the contact that comes with playing football. He is able to read and react to screens and swing passes from his outside corner position, getting through blocks to make the tackle. Atunrase is aggressive at the catch point, always getting his hand on the football if targeted and is even leading this list on recorded PBU’s in 2021!
Braylon Conley Braylon Conley 6'1" | 175 lbs | DB Atascocita | 2024 State TX | CB | 6’1″ | 165lbs | Atascocita |
Conley has inside/outside flex at the corner position while in man coverage, also having the versatility to play press or off while in man. Conley is active on the football at the catch point, not letting anything come easy! He’s a smart football player that understands the game with good field presence and awareness. Conley takes precise angles to the ball carrier with immediate closing speed that is followed by a textbook tackle!
Keyshawan Lamont | FS | 5’10″ | 160lbs | Cypress Creek |
2021 stats: 65 total 45 solo 3 FF 2 PBU 2 Return TD
Lamont is a secure tackler that you can trust as the last line of defense, taking great angles to the football and having the speed to catch anybody on the football field. Lamont is a smart player with a tendency to knock strip the football when chasing down ball carriers from behind. Lamont is a dangerous return man(PR or KR) , Lamont finds open field and in one cut showing his track star speed outrunning everybody to the endzone!
