Athletes from as far away as Texas traveled to compete with, and against, many of the top 2026-2028 prospects in the region. Here’s a look at the Quarterbacks who were named to the All-Showcase First Team.
Evan Budinger | 2026 | Delaware
In my opinion, the top Quarterback in attendance was Budinger. This past season, Budinger dressed for Varsity each game at Red Lion Christian Academy and in limited duty was 12-of-19 for 203 yards with 2 touchdowns and zero interceptions. Spent a lot of his time playing Jayvee this past year and has a shot to start for the Varsity team for the duration of his career. Measured in at 6-foot-3 and 165 pounds. Not just a statue in the pocket, showed good mobility as well. He should shine brightly in a state where high level football prospects don’t emerge every year.
Gavin Sidwar | 2026 | Pennsylvania
Sidwar was a late registration to the PRZ Next Northeast Showcase due to the cancellation of a 7v7 tournament, but it was a case of ’better late than never’, with him. He performed absolutely as-advertised during the showcase. He’s nearly 6-foot-4 and 152 pounds with a tremendous Quarterback build. He made accurate, smart decisions the whole day. Has already visited a number of P5 programs this spring, most recently Penn State.
Marco Green | 2026 | New York
In the state of New York, middle school athletes are allowed to participate on the High School level if their ability warrants it. Green spent this past season playing up on Jayvee for the Warwick Wildcats, and for good reason. The long, tall field general measured in a 6-foot-3 and a half, and 162 pounds. He’s raw but has natural size and ability. He said he may sit behind the incumbent varsity QB this year, but he’s on his way to being a good one.
Lamar Best | 2026 | New Jersey
It was my second time seeing Best in the last two months and he again came away as a top performer. The two-sport athlete (basketball) throws a beautiful deep ball and really does a good job of understanding when to put some air under the ball, and when to put some zip on it. Accuracy is something he’s absolutely improved on through the years too. More of a pocket-passer in my opinion. Isn’t sure on where he’ll be attending high school yet.
Saeed Williams | 2026 | Virginia
At showcases and camps it can be difficult for dual threat Quarterbacks to stand out because the setting isn’t optimally conducive to their skill set. Enter Saeed Williams. On top of a blazing 4.59 (hand time) in the 40-yard dash, he was very accurate during 1-on-1s. He made all the short and intermediate throws we asked him to make. Very crisp and methodical. The eighth grade Under Armour All-American will be at Mt. Zion Prep in the fall.
Derek Zammit Derek Zammit 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB DePaul Catholic | 2026 State NJ | 2026 | New Jersey
I’ve been high on Zammit for a while now, but the showcase was my first opportunity to see him throw live. I wasn’t disappointed. Zammit will be headed to DePaul Catholic in the fall, and is a headliner in a very impressive 2026 class the have coming in. Obviously wasn’t going against a live rush, but showed a lot of poise in the pocket. Biggest take away was his arm strength–he can sling it. Has above average mobility and knows how to move in the pocket. When height catches up, he’ll be a nice prospect.
Jayden Chico Jayden Chico 6'1" | 205 lbs | QB Plantation | 2026 FL | 2026 | Florida
Chico flew up to New Jersey, from Florida, early that morning and hit the ground running at the showcase. A bit of a thicker, bigger brand of Quarterback Chico showed off some impressive arm strength throughout the day. Coming off an eighth grade season where he was a Varsity starter at Westminster Academy, he’s going to be one of note coming out of south Florida. Next month he’ll be playing for the Florida Future Stars team.
