The top players in the state tend to be the more talked about recruits, which can inadvertently cast a shadow over some of the other prospects in the area. A significant amount of hidden talent is scattered across the state, many of whom are still flying a little below the radar.
This article will highlight five class of 2023 wide receivers who are talented sleepers with plenty to offer college programs.
Richard Okuno Richard Okuno 5'7" | 140 lbs | WR ThunderRidge | 2023 State CO | ThunderRidge | 5’7”, 140lbs
Okuno is a shifty wide receiver who is on pace to have a phenomenal senior season. His releases are crafty, and his breaks are explosive, helping him create space from defenders and exploit openings in the defense’s secondary. He is a speedy runner, which adds to his elusiveness as a route runner and ball carrier. Okuno is a surehanded receiver with a talented toolbag and the potential to be an absolute steal as a recruit.

Zyriq Siegler Zyriq Siegler WR Heritage | 2023 State CO | Heritage | 6’2”, 185lbs
Siegler is arguably one of the top sleepers at the receiver position in the class. He has excellent size and strength, partnering perfectly with his physical style of play. He is a powerful route runner who consistently attacks the ball at its highest point. His size and strength make him difficult to bring down whenever he has the ball in his hands, giving him an advantage over many defensive backs. Siegler is on the verge of becoming a breakout recruit, making him a premier prospect to add to the boards.

Landen Loomis Landen Loomis WR Horizon | 2023 State CO | Horizon | 5’10”, 170lbs
For the college programs searching for a confident playmaker, it would not hurt to take a closer look at Loomis. He has fantastic athleticism and speed. His quickness, sharp route-running skills, and willingness to go up and snag the ball in traffic make him a tough matchup for defensive secondaries, regardless of coverage scheme. Loomis is an electrifying athlete with a knack for balling out, making him a must-watch player.

Dylan McCollough Dylan McCollough 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR Regis Jesuit | 2023 State CO | Regis Jesuit | 5’11”, 180lbs
McCollough is a player who has been turning heads during the offseason, making this coming season one to anticipate. He has shown his ability to create different ways to win against man coverage within the first three to four steps. He does a great job at hand fighting and defeating press-man coverage and immediately creating space with his breaks and explosive acceleration. McCollough has had to bide his time, but his senior season is on track to be one to remember.
