The showcase featured approximately 100 prospects from the 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 classes and included testing in the 40-yard dash (electronic) and pro-agility drill before moving on to positional and one-on-one drills.
Here is a quick look at some of the 2023 wide receivers who stood out:
Jack Burke Jack Burke 6'1" | 200 lbs | WR Vianney | 2023 State MO , Vianney
Burke didn’t measure in at the Showcase, but we’ve seen him measured at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds in previous events. He recorded a good pro-agility time of 4.17 seconds and ran the 40-yard dash in 5.19 seconds.
He had a good junior season last fall, leading Vianney in receiving with 56 catches for 598 yards and five total touchdowns, including a return touchdown. He ranked third on the Griffins with 41 tackles.
Raymond Curtis III Raymond Curtis III 5'8" | 150 lbs | WR Jennings | 2023 MO , Jennings
Curtis measured in at 5-8 and 148 pounds. He recorded a pro-agility time of 4.57 seconds and a 40-yard dash time of 4.88 seconds.
DeAndre Galmore DeAndre Galmore 6'4" | 185 lbs | WR St. Charles | 2023 MO , St. Charles
Galmore measured in at 6-4 and 185 pounds. He ran the 40 in 5.06 seconds and recorded a pro-agility time of 5.1 seconds.
Galmore appears to be new to football, since he wasn’t listed on St. Charles’ roster for last season and there is no HUDL profile for him. That said, his size and speed gives him a chance to play at the next level if he continues to improve and shows what he’s capable of this fall.
Blake Larson Blake Larson 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR Hillsboro | 2023 State MO , Hillsboro
A 5-11, 154-pounder, Larson impressed at the Elite Football Combine two months ago and was impressive again in this showing. He ran the 40 in 4.61 seconds and recorded a pro-agility time of 4.31 seconds.
Larson is a unique case when it comes to recruiting. He plays for a run-heavy program — Hillsboro attempted just 97 passes last season, completing 55 — and put up modest numbers last fall. He caught five passes for 49 yards and both numbers ranked fifth on the team.
He’s got speed, quickness and athleticism and should get some looks at the next level. He could also get some looks as a defensive back.
Eli Mitchell Eli Mitchell 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH Ritenour | 2023 MO , Ritenour
Mitchell measured in at 5-11 and 170 pounds and had a nice all-around day. He recorded a pro-agility time of 4.5 seconds and a 40 time of 4.86 seconds, the second-fastest reported among the 2023 wide receiver group.
Mitchell played wide receiver and quarterback for the Huskies last fall. He caught 11 passes for 229 yards, averaging 20.8 yards per reception, and two touchdowns. He ran for 193 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries, averaging 6.4 yards per. He completed 56.5% of his passes (26 of 46) for 319 yards and two touchdowns.
Terran Mitchell Terran Mitchell 5'7" | 150 lbs | ATH Affton | 2023 MO , Affton
Measuring in at 5-6 and 150 pounds, Mitchell ran the second fastest 40 among 2023 prospects at 4.57. His pro-agility time of 4.35 seconds was also among the best marks in his class.
He was listed as an athlete for the Showcase, but we like him as a running back-slot receiver at the next level. We included him in our wrap-up of running backs and are including him again here.
Last fall, as a junior, Mitchell led the Cougars in receiving (45 catches for 565 yards and four touchdowns), total yards (611) and touchdowns (seven), was second in tackles (71) and excelled as a kick returner (26.88 yard average). He scored three touchdowns on returns.
