In our current 2025 prospect rankings, we have five players ranked, all within our top 24, and then four additional prospects in our watchlist portion of the rankings.
William Felder Jr. | 6-foot-1, 165 | Roman Catholic
Felder as a freshman recorded 27 tackles and three pass breakups for Roman Catholic. In coverage, he showed high-quality coverage skills, especially as just a freshman thanks to some solid length due to his 6-foot-1 frame. He shows the ability to play the ball well and has the athleticism to stay in most plays against bigger and possibly faster wide receivers. He shows a good burst and fluid hips, both should improve as he continues to develop. His tackling skill set is sound. Overall, high quality prospect who is going to project to being an FBS, Power Five level recruit if he continues to develop.
Dymere Durham Dymere Durham 5'11" | ATH Northeast | 2025 State PA | 5-foot-11 | Archbishop Wood
Durham is an exciting young prospect that we recently saw at the PrepRedzone Prospect Tour earlier this month. The foundation for him to be a prospect on either side of the ball at wide receiver or defensive back is there. His coverage skills are outstanding on tape as he continuously shows the ability to stay with his man on a wide variety of routes. His hips are fluid, the ideal athleticism is there and certainly has more to tap into in that part of his game as well. Tackling techniques appear to be sound and strong as well. As he gets bigger, stronger, and faster, Durham has the potential to be quite a special defensive back prospect.
Xxavier Thomas Xxavier Thomas 5'10" | 160 lbs | DB Pittsburgh Central Catholic | 2025 State PA | 5-foot-9, 145 | Pittsburgh Central Catholic
As with our last two prospects at Roman Catholic and Archbishop Wood, if you’re Thomas and have the ability to crack the Pittsburgh Central Catholic varsity roster as a freshman, you have some special talent to say the least. Thomas recorded 30 tackles and four interceptions as a freshman for Pittsburgh Central Catholic. In short, he’s athletic, agile, and is advanced in coverage for a freshman, special talent here especially if he can continue to grow and add some more length to his frame.
Kenny Lewis IV Kenny Lewis IV 5'9" | 175 lbs | ATH Gateway | 2025 State PA | 5-foot-8, 145-pounds | Gateway
Lewis shows both promise as a defensive back and also a returner thanks to his athleticism and elusiveness. He has fluid hips and is able to maintain speed while changing direction as well. Coverage skills are solid as well. Biggest question going forward will be if he can continue to grow and add more length to his frame. I haven’t been able to see him in person but on tape, he does appear to have some solid length for a 5-foot-8 frame.
Amere Brown Amere Brown 5'9" | 155 lbs | ATH Woodland Hills | 2025 State PA | 5-foot-9, 155-pounds |Woodland Hills
Brown is a nice prospect with good athleticism and speed, he shows a solid foundation overall and shows strong ball skills while also often being in the right place at the right time. He plays quality coverage as well and takes quality routes to the ball when working to get into plays whether it’s through the air or on the ground. Will look for him to add more size going forward as well as working on being a bit more fluid in his change of direction. But overall, Brown is very much one of the top 2025 defensive backs in the class and is someone we’re hoping can take a big step in year two.
