Stay tuned to Prep Redzone Oklahoma throughout the month of June for more ranking updates, along with a ton of prospect breakdowns. Today, it’s all about the big men on the line of scrimmage. We’re breaking down the offensive and defensive linemen. In this post, we’re breaking down the top offensive linemen in Oklahoma’s 2024 class.
Ace Hodges – Casady
(Ranked #5 Overall – #1 OL)
From the start of the 2024 rankings, we have had offensive lineman Ace Hodges at the top of the positional rankings. He has some company in the top ten this time around with two other offensive linemen. But Hodges still holds on to the top spot and he’s going to look a little different this fall. Hodges will be playing with Casady this fall after transferring from OCS. Hodges is the top interior lineman in the class and it’s been that way since the end of his freshman season. While he’s been dominant on the offensive side of the line of scrimmage, we’re starting to see Hodges play more defense. He’s improved on that side of the ball and is looking to be a two-way star for Casady this fall. Hodges was one of the top lineman prospects at our camp in April and he competed incredibly well on both sides of the line. Look for Casady to be improved up front as they get closer to joining the OSSAA.
Brody Duffel

Bixby | 2024
State
OK
– Bixby
(Ranked #8 Overall – #3 OL)
Early on last fall, the Bixby coaches told us about the emergence of a young sophomore in offensive lineman Brody Duffel Brody Duffel 6'6" | 270 lbs | OL Bixby | 2024 State OK . This is a Bixby program that has not only produced some strong offensive lineman prospects, but they absolutely know what to look for with that position. So when they say a guy at that position has a chance, we definitely listen. After watching Duffel last year, it’s easy to see why the coaches have that opinion of him. He’s not the biggest prospect yet but there’s definitely room for him to grow and time for him to fill out his frame. But the skillset is definitely there already and he should only get better moving forward. Duffel is a tackle prospect that really exceeded on the Bixby offensive line. As he gets more confident, that’s going to be a problem for opponents. Duffel is currently ranked as the #3 OL but he has a real chance to be at the top when it’s all said and done. The ceiling is high for this Bixby prospect.
Ezra Ballinger

NOAH | 2024
State
OK
– NOAH
(Ranked #20 Overall – #4 OL)
The Tulsa-area athletic program NOAH is becoming more of a name this offseason with the emergence of 2024 DL Daniel Okoye as a national prospect. But they have several other prospects that need attention. Offensive lineman Ezra Ballinger Ezra Ballinger 6'5" | 270 lbs | OL NOAH | 2024 State OK has been on our radar for a while and he’s coming off an offseason where he’s becoming an even stronger left tackle for the Jaguars. He had a strong sophomore season and then we got a chance to see him in person at the Rejoice team camp. That raw power and OL skills are definitely there and Ballinger is definitely going to continue growing into an even better OL prospect. Throw in the fact that he’s on the same team with Okoye on the other side of the line of scrimmage and we’re talking about an “iron sharpens iron” situation. Going against athletes like Okoye will only make Ballinger better as his stock continues to go up.
David Smithwick

Lincoln Christian | 2024
State
OK
– Lincoln Christian
(Ranked #40 Overall – #7 OL)
Lincoln Christian offensive lineman David Smithwick David Smithwick 6'4" | 265 lbs | OL Lincoln Christian | 2024 State OK is in a similar situation as Duffel from Bixby. He already has a tall frame but can definitely afford to get bigger and add more muscle and weight. And when that happens, Smithwick has a chance to be an even more dominant offensive tackle. Smithwick is a strong athlete that we’ve also watched play a little basketball as well. Smithwick can move around for a big man. So if he keeps that footwork and quickness as he gets bigger and fills out the frame, he’s going to be an even more dominant offensive lineman. Smithwick might be the #7 OL in this class but coming in at #40 overall shows just how deep this position group is right now. We’re looking forward to seeing Smithwick continue to grow and one thing is for sure, he’ll be anchoring an offensive line on an offense that is one of the best in the state this fall.
Ben Jordan

Claremore | 2024
State
OK
– Claremore
(Ranked #41 Overall – #8 OL)
Another offensive lineman who really jumped off the page at us during our April camp was Claremore offensive lineman Ben Jordan Ben Jordan 6'4" | 280 lbs | OL Claremore | 2024 State OK . The Claremore big man was very skilled during the 1 on 1 competitions and another thing that really stood out to us was his reception to the coaching he received. Jordan will be the anchor for a Claremore offense that is looking to bounce back in a big way this fall. Jordan is another offensive lineman that went from somewhat unknown to a highly regarded prospect during this offseason. After going back and watching some of his film from the past two years, it was apparent that Jordan belonged on this list. However, one thing we want to see from Jordan moving forward is something he can’t show. We want to figure out what the best position for Jordan will be at the next level. Is he more of a tackle or an interior lineman?
