Styles Prescod Styles Prescod 6'6" | 280 lbs | OL Hamilton Southeastern Highschool | 2024 State IN – Hamilton Southeastern – OT – 6’6″ 280lbs
Prescod is a ton of fun because of the upside he offers. He’s someone who stands out, literally. At the UIndy camp, you couldn’t miss him. The height, width, and ability on the field really stood out. So much so, that he left the camp with a few offers and that got the ball rolling. While he doesn’t have a ton of HUDL film, what you see on tape is what I saw in real life. A recruit with an elite frame full of potential. He’s got a frame that could easily develop into an elite college body if he gets into the right program. He’s got strong hands, decent feet, and can hold his own. He’s got an edge to him and how he plays. When he’s coming downhill and in the run game is where he’s best. He’s got great height which gives him a ton of leverage and he’s able to drive his guy back. In the passing game, he’s shown quick feet, good balance, and strong hands. He won’t get driven back and is light on his feet. For his size, he bends well and isn’t stiff either. He’s able to get low with ease and gets off the ball fairly quick. Prescod is the type of recruit who comes in, develops, and once the light clicks, turns into a starting Tackle you set and forget for as long as he’s around. He’s a bit raw but the potential is there and whoever lands him in the recruiting wars is going to find themselves with a gem and an incredible prospect.
Christopher L Green Christopher L Green 6'0" | 235 lbs | DL Ben Davis | 2024 State IN – Ben Davis – DE – 5’10″ 230lbs’
Green is an edge rusher who is able to win with his speed. For his size and someone on the line, Green has a quick get-off and gets to his top-end speed really fast. He’s able to cut off the backside of plays, split gaps, and make tackles in small spaces. While there are times he can get going a bit too fast and overshoot if he’s able to clean up coming to balance I think that would clean up right away. He’s got a nose for the ball and won’t bite for a bad play fake. He does his job and doesn’t make many mistakes. He’s able to fend off shots up high and can bend around the corner. Right now, he is a bit light but as he develops physically, I think it’ll round out his game more. He’s developed nicely over the past few years and really started to make Ben Davis look smart for being patient with him. He feels like someone who is going to develop the most over the next 2 years and will put himself in a nice spot for recruitment. He’s a hard worker, good in the run game, and has a nose for the ball. He was at the Notre Dame camp earlier this summer and looked good. He’s putting the work in and looks quicker. His footwork and hands to be specific. Green is going to make someone really happy down the road and over the next 2 years will have a ton of opportunities to show what he’s made of.
Alvin Contreras Alvin Contreras 5'11" | 180 lbs | ATH Ben Davis | 2024 State IN – Ben Davis – DB/WR – 5’11″ 180lbs
Contreras is a fantastic athlete who has come along nicely for Ben Davis primarily on the JV squad. He’s bounced around and shown he can play on both sides of the ball. Defensively, he’s got a nose for the ball and will pick it off if it enters his vicinity. He’s got fairly good hands and can track the ball over his shoulder. He returned a few interceptions for pick 6’s last year and almost had another that would have been his most impressive. He picked a ball off over his shoulder, turned around, and almost weaved the full 80-yards back for the score before being brought down. He doesn’t panic and trusts what he sees. When he decides to close, he flies downhill. He can tackle but isn’t great in open spaces. Contreras has no issue coming down in the box and playing the run and making a tackle in the alley. He’s versatile and can move around. Offensively, he’s got the same ball skills and ability to make people miss as you’d expect. He could easily become a weapon in the screen game and return game if they asked him to. Physically, he’s not far off. He’ll put muscle on at the college level obviously but he’s not in desperate need. Contreras has a lot to offer and could easily develop into an elite prospect over the next 2 years. He checks a lot of boxes and is only getting better. Contreras is someone to keep an eye on long-term because he could really shoot up boards and blow up by the time he graduates.
Montez Jones Montez Jones 5'11" | 175 lbs | QB Lawrence North | 2024 State IN – Lawrence North – QB – 5’11″ 180lbs
Jones is a fun dual-threat QB who can kill defenses with his legs. He’s a twitchy athlete and can take off and run with the best of them. He’s able to make guys miss, get the corner, and lower his head to fight for tough yards. He’s got decent pocket awareness and won’t take a sack. I do think there are times he comes off his first read and takes off to run too early but at this level and to this point, he’s been able to make enough plays to get by while developing in the passing game. His athleticism and ability to see things as they’re developing have helped him tremendously. His arm is decent but is getting stronger. He’s got a soft touch and can drop the ball over the top. He likes to make quick decisions and get the ball out if he’s able to. During the second half of the season, I felt like he got more patient and would extend plays some East and West before taking off. It worked a few times as he was able to keep his eyes downfield and sling a TD pass. He developed throughout the season and typically didn’t make the same mistake multiple times. Jones’s ability to create is fun to watch and as he sees the game slow down, he’ll get even better. While there is some work to be done in the passing game, if Jones is able to continue developing over the next 2 years, he’s going to end up having offers to extend his career to the collegiate level. If the right college program gets ahold of him and is patient and works with him properly, Jones could light it up on Saturdays.
Damola Ajani Damola Ajani 6'4" | 270 lbs | OL Speedway | 2024 State IN – Speedway – T – 6’5″ 260lbs
Ajani is as exciting as you’d want a guy with that type of frame to be. He’s lengthy is able to bend without an issue. He bends well and is able to get up and out of his stance really quickly. In the running game, he’s able to use his size and strength to his advantage and clear the way. He likes to put his guy into the ground if he can. Ajani has a nice swagger to his game that really gets going when he’s able to start hitting defensive players. In the passing game, he’s able to depth with ease. While it’s not perfect footwork, it’s not horrible for a young guy, especially with his size. He’s nimble and rather shifty and can be used as a lead blocker if needed. The biggest thing for Ajani is getting the weight up and developing physically. If he’s able to do so and put the work in, he could easily develop into an elite frame. His hands allow him to control what’s going on in his vicinity and he’s got a nice first punch. He’s got that first contact you want OL to have. Combine that with his instincts and aggression on the field and he could become something special. He stood out at the UIndy camp as well and got some of the same love that Prescod did, and for good reason. When you walk onto a field you can’t miss Ajani. Then, you see him play and can’t help but get more excited. When he graduates, there’s no telling how many offers he could have if everything goes according to plan.
Roshaun McGee Roshaun McGee 6'1" | 230 lbs | DL Merrillville | 2024 State IN – Merrillville – DE/DT/ST – 6’1″ 230lbs
McGee is a fun recruit who really started to flash towards the end of the season last year. He’s versatile and plays on Special Teams along with bouncing around the defensive line. He’s a gunner for the kickoff team and lines up in the interior of punt block and has been able to get home in the past. McGee is fairly lengthy and has long strides and can really open it up for a DL which is likely why he’s a gunner making tackles. He’s able to shoot off the ball and get through some small gaps to make a play. He is also the player who will run down the field 30-yards to make a tackle, even if he wasn’t a part of the play. He’s also shown he can win 1 on 1 on the outside and shed his guy to make the tackle the ball comes his way. He’s not the most polished prospect and needs some work physically, but he’s got a lot of good traits that schools look for. The effort and hustle are things that can’t be coached and is what always stand out when you’ve got them. He’s fairly consistent as well and doesn’t make boneheaded mistakes. He finds the ball, tracks it down, and makes the play when he can. He’s the kind of player who makes teams whole. Right now, he is a bit raw but the upside and intrigue are there. He’s got a lot of really good tools and is only getting better. McGee could develop into a steady hand and a reliable contributor at the next level with the right program if he puts the work in.
