Dylan Labarbera is a strong presence on the DL for Foothill that just picked up his first NAIA offer and Matthew Kinoshita is an explosive playmaker for Pleasant Valley that’s added two offers this offseason.
Dylan Labarbera- DL, Foothill, 2023
Labarbera was a disruptive force in the front seven at DE/DT as a junior. He’s explosive getting off the ball and consistently makes plays at or behind the LOS. He does a good job collapsing the pocket and shows good bend around the edge as a DE. He uses reach and violent hands to shed blocks and is clean getting into the backfield on inside slants. He shows good lateral movement tracking outside runs. Labarbera picked up an NAIA offer from Montana Tech in March.
After a great conversation with @CoachMagana I am thankful and blessed to receive an offer from Montana Tech.@CoachKyleSamson @MonTechFootball #CountOnMe #Family #LightTheV23⚒️ pic.twitter.com/uvQPHSIHQ8

Matthew Kinoshita- RB, Pleasant Valley, 2023
Kinoshita is the returning leading rusher for Pleasant Valley totaling 700 rushing yards and 9 TDs as a junior. He bounces off contact running with low center-of-gravity and good pad level. He has fast, light feet with explosive burst and short-area quickness. He’s a twitchy athlete that operates well in tight spaces with plus-side lateral quickness and agility. He’s a willing and physical pass blocker and makes tackles from his LB spot on defense. Kinoshita has picked up offers from Culver-Stockton and Grinnell College since March.

Adon Newberry- DL, Chico, 2023
Newberry is a physical player on both sides of the ball at TE/DE. He works the middle of the field well as a TE showing athleticism and body control. He’s a reliable target in the short-intermediate area and shows ability to pick up blocks in space at the second level in the run game. He’s a high IQ player that can set a physical edge from his DE spot. He’s a strong athlete at 6’4”/220 but could generate more power and explosiveness with better consistency in his leverage at the LOS. Newberry has an underrated skillset that could translate to either side of the ball at the next level.
On Thursday the 16th I’m going to be attending the Sac State camp. I’m excited to compete and show y’all what I’m made of. @GrindHausSports @lapan_jeremy @jake8shakes @Coach_TKeane @RealCoachCarter @CoachG_SJSU @BrandonHuffman @247Sports @westcoastpreps_ pic.twitter.com/OOrp61dH3g

Jake Peters- DB, Foothill, 2023
Peters is a solid cover corner in the Foothill secondary. He’s an aggressive tackler in the flat that shows fast reactions in underneath coverage. He does a good job containing the outside and using sideline leverage as a tackler. He’s a highly reliable tackler in space that shows compact breaks reacting downhill. He makes plays covering downfield with good ball skills and recovery speed. Peters should be one of the top playmakers in the secondary in the Northern Section next season.

Grant Foster- ATH, Orland, 2023
Foster was a two-way starter as a junior at CB/QB. He’s an instinctive playmaker in the secondary that shows great closing speed and is a violent tackler in space. He’s a reliable player in coverage that shows ball skills, ability to read eyes, and is aggressive attacking the ball at the catch point. He makes plays with legs as a crafty, athletic QB that has the speed to get the edge on outside runs and can make guys miss in space. Foster’s a dynamic three-sport athlete in football, track, and basketball.

Julian Olivarez- RB, Hamilton, 2023
Olivarez showed toughness as the leading rusher for Hamilton last season. He’s a one-cut back that’s strong and balanced through contact. He shows vision at the LOS and consistently finds space at the second and third levels. He does a good job of sticking his foot in the ground and getting square up field on outside runs. Olivarez should be one of the leading playmakers again for Hamilton in the fall.
